Review
Our writers are looking at Sin so much that they decided not to write a preface.
BSin (Sin: Swift Bunny) is a B3 with good Single-Target DMG but trades some of it for AoE. She can alternate between Engage and Stance modes to adapt to the enemy's defenses and the team's composition. Against enemies with high DEF or in teams with True DMG▲, use Engage. If neither applies, use Stance. She starts the battle in Stance. Swap by holding Full Charge for 1s. She can swap mid-battle as many times as needed. BSin is relevant for:
Water-weak Solo Raid: Despite having dual mode, BSin will be less relevant in Stance mode than Engage mode due to the heavy True DMG buffers we have. Her best team is the True DMG team archetype alongside
Flora (Treasure) and
Takina Inoue, even when True DMG isn't advantaged. Hence, we can expect usage when the boss is Water-Weak, especially if it is advantageous to True DMG.
As ‘Team 5 units’, BSin and
Guilty: Mighty Bunny are not easy to powercreep since their individual damage is higher than units in other teams, but may be replaced if SU decides to release multiple meta Water B3s or a new set of supports that enable niche DPS better than Takina and Flora (Treasure) do.
Campaign/Missilis Tower: BSin will be one of the meta units against Liberalio's Body, the Ch. 48 boss, thanks to its damage-nullifying mechanic. Her Burst has weak True Damage, but it still kills weak mobs. Follow that up with nice Single-Target True DMG to finish off surviving elites and Stage Targets.
PvP: BSin can be used as a wiper or a situational modifier to early-pressure P5. Her Burst damage is comparable to
Drake: Great Villain or half of
Laplace: Ultimate Hero, and if it crits (she has 50% chance thanks to S2), it goes even higher than theirs. You can boost the chances by getting Crit Rate OL. Additionally, Sniper Rifle will soon always hit P5 on both Attacking and Defending. This makes BSin one of the better early pressure units thanks to instant buffs. However, her basic attacks are still weaker than
Guilty: Mighty Bunny’s even when she crits.
If you are:
A competitive Water-weak SR veteran: Pull at least 1 copy of BSin only if you have
Flora (Treasure) and
Takina Inoue. She is meta for the current Liberalio (Body) SR and will be relevant for other Water-weak SR as long as Shift Up doesn’t release water duo B3 DPS that directly replaces them.
A generalist (or other-element) veteran: If you don’t care about Water-weak ranking, you can skip.
A beginner: No. We highly recommend saving for Anniversary or picking up one of the Winter reruns instead, such as
Maiden: Ice Rose or
Ludmilla: Winter Owner. Also rerunning in December will be
Brid: Silent Track and
Diesel: Winter Sweets , alongside the new 2 Winter seasonals.
Snow White: Heavy Arms will rerun in New Year and will replace BSin for non-Raid content outside Liberalio's Body.
A competitive PvP player: If you want to entertain niche line-ups or future metas, you should get at least 1 copy of BSin. It is currently hard to evaluate her strength because her potential is locked behind RNG.
For any player group, she is not worth Mileage.
BSin does have a lot of ATK▲ buff, but it’s only for the first 5s of Burst Skill. Dupes are nice, but you should also consider external dupes such as
Flora (Treasure)'s. However, if she has a lot of ATK OL or is used with
Liter , it should be considered because
Liter buffs based on BSin's base ATK.
In NIKKE, dupes are not necessary for units to function. They only give extra stats, help new commanders level past 160 wall, or unlock Favorite Item/Treasure.
BSin deals different types of damage depending on whether she is in Engage or Stance:
In Engage: Basic attacks and Swift Carrot now deal True DMG. Burst Skill deals additional True DMG.
In Stance: All attacks deal regular DMG. Burst Skill deals additional regular DMG. BSin gains paramount Crit Rate▲ and Crit DMG▲ buffs.
In general, unless the boss has high DEF or specific mechanics that benefit True DMG, Stance will always have a higher damage output. However, team composition is also important. If the team consists of mostly True DMG▲ buffers such as
Flora (Treasure) , then Engage will still deliver more damage.
To swap mode, Full Charge, then hold for an additional 1s. This will not happen automatically in AUTO, so you can leave them be after choosing your preferred mode. However, for maximum performance, we recommend manualing BSin to interrupt the downtime animation between attacks.
For both modes, manual Sin to start charging before Burst Skill to allow Swift Carrot to fire 10 times instead of 9.
A change of bunny icon can be noticed upon mode change:
Swapping to Engage
Swapping (back) to Stance
BSin deals True DMG via 3 distinct methods:
Normal Attacks: If Full Charging, deal (69.04% * (2.5 + 0.5212) * 2) damage that can crit or core-hit. Benefits from Effective Range.
Swift Carrot: For 5s after activating Burst Skill, replacing Normal Attacks, deal 73.22% * 3 damage every 0.5s that can crit or core-hit. Benefits from Effective Range.
Burst Skill: Deal 854.6% damage that can crit to all enemies.
BSin’s Swift Carrot has a higher damage output than Normal Attacks because it overlaps with Burst Skill’s ATK▲. However, they are still pretty comparable, so we can say she has consistent damage, hitting hard even in the other B3’s rotation. As these are True DMG normal attacks, she can also help with destroying parts. Since they can core-hit and have perfect accuracy, ensure Normal Attacks and Swift Carrot land on the enemy’s core if present. If desired, you can also crit-fish the Burst nuke, but that’s hardcore.
Most of BSin’s damage being Normal Attacks also means that she is dependent on core. When the boss doesn’t have one, her damage will plummet.
BSin’s output is increased:
Extra Personal Buffs: Gain 35.14% Crit Rate and 75.12% Crit DMG continuously, which can be significant in PvP or in PvE if you’re into crit-fishing, pairing her with Crit buffers. Crit is also impactful against enemies without core, so we can see BSin being played alone without
Guilty: Mighty Bunny in the future.
Higher Burst Skill Multiplier: Instead of 854.6% True DMG, deal 958.9% additional damage.
This mode prevents her from utilizing True DMG▲ buffs, but the extra buffs are actually very impactful. Unfortunately, at the moment, she is most likely paired with True DMG▲ buffers, who still favour Engage.
As a True DMG DPS, BSin shines best in Campaign and against bosses that require True DMG, such as Liberalio’s Body, who is coincidentally a prominent wall in Chapter 48. She is similar to
Guilty: Mighty Bunny but trades off some Single-Target damage for AoE. This doesn’t make her worse for assassination, though. Here’s a comparison to
Guilty: Mighty Bunny:
Less Single-Target Damage: BSin deals roughly -5% Single-Target damage.
More AoE Damage: 14% of her damage is also dealt to all enemies.
She is also comparable to
Liberalio , having a weaker nuke compensated by strong follow-ups. Their playstyle is also similar. You nuke the mobs, then focus on key targets such as the Stage Targets.
For the best performance, we recommend pairing her with
Flora (Treasure) and
Takina Inoue.
BSin has a specialized boss—Liberalio’s Body. However, its mechanics don't favor True DMG as much as you think. While she will still be better than random DPS, we can’t give her too much credit.
Let’s talk about her non-Raid and Raid performance:
Non-Raid: She matches neither
Snow White: Heavy Arms in damage output nor
Privaty (Treasure) in supportive buff/debuff. She is weaker than
Dorothy: Serendipity.
Helm (Treasure) deals similar damage yet gives the team buff, burst gen, and healing and doesn’t depend on core’s existence. Therefore, BSin is relatively just passable, usable but replaced immediately once you get anyone better.
Union Raid: Union Raids (Hard Mode) usually have players ideally using 1-2 teams per element, especially since units are condensed into a fewer number of teams compared to SR. With
Snow White: Heavy Arms being the main Team 1 unit and
Dorothy: Serendipity, alongside her supports, forming a formidable Team 2, BSin will almost never see use in UR meta. Versus any normal Water-weak boss that does not have an insanely high DEF, BSin is not a valid option for Team 3 either because of
Helm (Treasure) and
Ludmilla: Winter Owner . Rarely, against a boss favoring True Damage (such as Liberalio’s Body), BSin may be used as the primary Team 2 or Team 3 option. Otherwise, she is entirely skippable by current UR meta standards for Water element.
Solo Raid:
Having specialized supports (i.e.
Flora (Treasure) and
Takina Inoue), BSin will be in a solid team in Water-Weak Solo Raids, alongside her imprisoned friend
Guilty: Mighty Bunny. While they may be Team 5 units, they are harder to powercreep since some units in teams ‘above’ them might get replaced sooner. This is because those units have more generic supports and also offer lesser personal damage. Hence, this Bunny duo may survive a bit more than expected, but won't survive long if SU decides to spam B3s or a new set of supports that enable niche DPS better than Takina and Flora (Treasure) do.
BSin and
Guilty: Mighty Bunny are, hence, effective units in the current meta, especially during the current raid: Liberalio's Body. While on the surface, Liberalio's Body benefits True DMG, its mechanics can be circumvented by switching up Burst orders or delaying attacks. This curtails its impact on non-True DMG DPS. Because of that, BSin's relative placement doesn't change. Note that this review heavily assumes BSin full premium True DMG team, which unfortunately has a collab character. Like other middle-of-the-road DPS, she has no Neutral presence.
BSin’s primary uses are:
AoE but with a gamble: Burst Skill inflicts a large amount of damage on all enemies. Normally, this deals about ~50% of
Laplace: Ultimate Hero’s nuke, equal to
Drake: Great Villain’s, which is not enough to one-shot
Moran (Treasure). However, if it crits, it will exceed theirs. With S2, BSin has a combined Crit Rate of 50%. In other words, NIKKE now has an official 50-50! Well, you can get Crit Rate OL to make it something like 70-30, but you know what we mean.
Early pressure but with a gamble: BSin’s basic attacks hit hard right off the bat thanks to S1. However, they really only hit hard if they crit. Not to mention, even if they crit, they’re still weaker than BGuilty’s, and BGuilty’s are consistent. In short, if you want your Attack or Defense team (after October) to have some flavor, you can slot her in… but don’t expect to win.
Overall, if you like to gamble, BSin is your best friend. Think of her like
Guilty: Mighty Bunny but with worse early pressure and a strong AoE on Burst. This combination makes her a self-sufficient B3. Note her inherent weakness against Electric (
Anis: Star and
Rosanna can easily kill her), as well as low burst gen (standard SR).
Due to BSin being reliant on gamba, it is difficult to give her a fair rating. For now, we will play it safe and rate her similar to other niche-but-not-exactly-meta-breaking B3. All kinds of players may find her nuke useful shall they work around her limitations. Using Crit Rate buffers is a good idea too.
If we find her good after October (targeting rework), we might promote her.
BSin has a lot of ATK▲, but it’s only in the first 5s of Burst. Therefore:
In PvE, she still scales on ATK well. Aside from ELE, some Max Ammo to maintain shooting uptime + Charge Damage/Crit in general go a long way. Charge Speed will be less useful because Swift Carrot has fixed Charge Time, which reduces its contribution, even more so if you leave her on AUTO.
In PvP, Crit Rate is most preferred to increase the chances of winning the gamble. You don’t need Crit Damage because she already has too much of that. Other damage lines, i.e. ATK and ELE, are nice. Charge Speed can be considered if the entire team also has Charge Speed for faster Burst.
In short:
PvE Goal: 4× ELE, 4× ATK, 1-2× Max Ammo + 2-3× Crit Rate/Crit Damage/Charge Damage
PvP Goal: 4× Crit Rate, 0-4× ATK, 0-4× Charge Speed, 0-4× ELE
Skill 1: 7~10
Abysmal ATK▲ despite all the yap.
Increases Normal Attack damage outside Swift Carrot.
In PvP: Boosts early pressure a lot. Lv. 7 is fine.
Skill 2: 7~10
Increases Swift Carrot’s multiplier.
Engage: Doesn’t give anything extra. Slightly lower priority than S1 in Engage mode.
Stance: Gives extra Crit Rate▲ and Crit Damage▲. Highest priority in Stance mode.
In PvP: Increases your gambling chances. Lv. 10 is recommended.
Burst Skill: 7~10
Increases ATK▲ and nuke damage.
In PvE: Lowest priority in both Engage and Stance mode.
In PvP: If you use her AoE, level this to 10.
For PVE:
Resilience: Use Resilience if Rupture cube is not invested.
Rupture: Only for Engage Mode. Use Rupture unless Rupture is significantly lower level than Resilience.
Bastion: Use Bastion if you have high ammo OL on her.
Destruction: Use Destruction if the boss allows high parts-shooting time.
For PvP:
Tempering & Vigor: Increases survivability. Vigor helps redirect Blanc’s Indomitability.
Adjutant: Helps reach the next Charge Speed breakpoint if the entire team has enough.
Bastion & Resilience: The go-to cubes when you have nothing better.
PvE Notes: Good presence in Water-weak SR and can be used for Mobbing (in Water-weak especially). Meta against Liberalio’s Body boss in Campaign. Scales on Weapon Skill. CP padding is necessary. However, not more important than 8+ units.
PvP Notes: Nuke and early pressure on P5 with gamba mechanics are what sells her. Early pressure scales on Weapon Skill. May need Damage Reduction because she’s Water.
BSin’s best team uses niche and specific supports, namely Takina and Flora (Treasure), in Engage Mode. They cannot be powercrept easily for multiple Raids without SU bulk-spamming new Water Nikke (like water B3 duo) to overtake the whole team completely.
Not mechanically locked with Guilty: Mighty Bunny. BSin can still be paired with other B3, especially in Stance Mode with generic supports (preferably Crit-focused).
Ignoring element, strong early pressure SR in PvP + AoE dependent on gambling. Can dismantle enemy’s unprotected P5 in a tailored Attack setup… if you are lucky. Can add Crit Rate buffers.
Now that is a bunny suit lads. Cheers, SU!
Will manipulate you…
In Engage Mode: Niche and specific supports unsurprisingly limit the choice of the second B3 in the team. The best pair B3 is definitely going to be Guilty: Mighty Bunny. A collab unit, Ada Wong, is the only meaningful True Damage Neutral B3 to fit the slot to buff BSin. For Missilis Tower, you can use Laplace (Treasure).
If you miss either Flora (Treasure) or Takina, her performance degrades significantly. Players who joined after the LycoReco collab cannot enjoy BSin’s maximum performance at the time of writing.
A severe lack of sub-DPSes in her team, a lack of a generic enough 20s B2 to strongly synergize with, as well as the lack of team buffs provided by herself, means that this true damage Water duo is quite replaceable in the current meta at mediocre investments. Go all in or all out.
Damage falls off against enemies without core.
A little reliant on manual gameplay like most SRs are, gaining up to 20% more damage on with precise clicking/tapping.
In PvP, reliant on crit. Pure gamba. Crit Rate buffers can help, though.
Shift Up needs to stop with these essays in kits. We write longer, though, so can’t really complain.
Will manipulate you.
