Ineffa is a 5-star Electro Polearm user most commonly played as off-field DPS and sustain. Her Skill provides constant Electro application and Shielding; additionally, she enables use of the Lunar-Charged reaction, which she in turn uses to activate her kit to deal strong personal damage. As a Moonsign unit, she also features important synergies with other characters in the faction.
Lunar-Charged is a reaction that replaces Electro-Charged when certain Moonsign characters such as Flins, Columbina, or Ineffa are on the team. It is triggered the same way, and doing so summons a lightning cloud that strikes enemies every 2 seconds starting immediately, dealing Lunar-Charged reaction damage. The aforementioned characters can also deal direct Lunar-Charged damage as part of their kits. All Lunar-Charged damage, similar to Electro-charged, is considered Electro damage, scales with EM, reaction damage bonuses, ignores DEF, and does not benefit from standard DMG%; unlike typical reactions, it can also CRIT.
Reaction Lunar-Charged damage takes into account the level and stats of all characters who contributed to triggering the reaction based on their damage dealt to the enemy - 100% of the stats of the strongest participant, then 50% and 8% for second and third, respectively. Direct Lunar-Charged damage is based on the multiplier and the scaling stat listed in the ability instead of level, but additionally enjoys a hidden 3x multiplier to its damage.
Ineffa’s Moonsign Passive is what allows her to convert Electro-Charged into the Lunar-Charged reaction the rest of her kit relies upon. In addition to this, it raises the team’s Moonsign level by 1 and also increases the Base Damage - a separate multiplier from Reaction DMG% - of all Lunar-Charged damage based on Ineffa’s ATK, capped at 14% at 2000 ATK. Ineffa herself gains no further benefits from Moonsign level as part of her kit beyond certain gearing options and the buffs from the mechanic itself.
Her Elemental Skill serves as the core of her kit; using it creates a strong shield and summons Birgitta for 20 seconds, a robot which attacks and applies Electro every 2 seconds. This allows her to maintain effortless uptime on the Lunar-Charged reaction even as the sole Electro unit when provided Hydro application. Ineffa’s actual damage, however, comes from her first Ascension Passive - allowing Birgitta to deal an additional instance of direct Lunar-Charged damage worth 65% of Ineffa’s ATK when it deals damage in the presence of a Lunar-Charged lightning cloud. Don’t let the low number fool you. With all the bonuses Lunar Reaction damage can get, Ineffa is capable of dealing massive portions of a team’s damage with minimal field time. Thus, maintaining Lunar-Charged uptime is paramount to get the most out of her.
Ineffa’s Elemental Burst by comparison is fairly simple but rounds up her kit nicely: in addition to re-summoning Birgitta, it also triggers her second Ascension Passive, buffing both her and the active party member’s EM by 6% of Ineffa’s ATK.
