Review
SIN-DEH-REHHHH-LAHHH! cough cough cough. The hero has come to rescue, this time she will rescue Wind teams. Will Lap be able to save old hag Syuen (she’s 60 years old now; read the event), or will she be another Midsolute 2.0 like last year?
A very good (but also very expensive) unit to build. She wields an RL that ramps up and down like an MG (4 seconds of charging, 5s+ of laser, and up to 2.7s of reload). However, unlike MGs, who can utilize Reload Speed to avoid ramp-up entirely, she can't skip the charging part. This makes her extremely reliant on Max Ammo OL (less for Trina variant). Even worse, she doesn't work with Bastion!
If she is built competitively, you can expect her to be used in:
Wind-weak Solo Raid: Together with Rouge, Trina, Idols, or Maxwell: Ordinary Mechanic, she can unleash deadly Burst or Piercing damage that scales if the boss favors Pierce.
Campaign: She has mountainous ATK▲ and a powerful wipe on top of a Piercing beam. Similar playstyle to SCindy. Relevant for both Neutral and Wind-weak given high investments, especially in Max Ammo.
Missilis Tower: Less competition makes her the best in Missilis Tower. With supports such as FloraT and Mom tailored to her, she is a force to be reckoned with.
PvP: A sundering wipe that can one-shot unprotected MoranTr who have used Burst Skill and everyone else. Can bypass Biscuit due to weak early pressure. Modest follow-up single-target attack for Blanc things. However, her being Wind makes her vulnerable to TVesti.
For beginners and players who don't care about Wind-weak SR, the answer is NO. She is very expensive to build, which means building her will pull the resources off others. Not only that, her best supports are a little non-mainstream, which shouldn't be in those players' build priorities.
For competitive Wind-weak SR players, Lapluh is CONSIDERABLE. She will also open extra options for Campaign, Missilis Tower, and PvP. The return is higher than building someone like Black.
For both types of players, she is not worth 200 Gold Mileage since she is a 2% unit. If you cannot pull her or your gems are low, please skip.
Should I get dupes?
If you are a spender, Lapluh is one of the best units to get dupes for due to her shared ATK buff pool from ATK▲ and Max HP▲. Dupes boost both groups simultaneously, whereas external ATK▲ will be diluted.
In NIKKE, dupes are not necessary for units to function. They only give extra stats, help new commanders level past 160 wall, or unlock Favorite Item/Treasure.
Lapluh is similar to MG in that she has a cycle of ramp-up, firing, and reload.
Ramp-Up: Lapluh fires up to 5 harmless rockets, each boosting her Charge Speed, accelerating subsequent rocket(s). This takes 4s without Charge Speed▲.
Lapluh is not optimal against bosses that apply Charge Speed debuff as this phase is lengthened.
While trivial, Charge Speed can shorten this phase. A Charge Speed of 10%, for example, would shorten it by (0.1 × 5 = 0.5 second). This is useless for PvE but handy for PvP.
Base burst gen is 1.4%.
Firing: Lapluh changes weapon and refreshes to max ammo (affected by Max Ammo▲). Then, at SMG fire rate (24/s), she fires a Piercing laser.
This has perfect accuracy and can core-hit.
Bastion and Ammo Refill don't work during this state.
She can take cover to dodge attacks or save ammo for better buff alignment.
She benefits from Pierce DMG▲ but not Explosive DMG▲.
Base burst gen is 0.1%, multiplied if she Pierces.
Reload: When Lapluh's laser magazine runs out, unlike with other weapon switches, she must reload.
This is a standard 2.5s reload that can be accelerated with Reload Speed (or skipped with Ammo Refill).
After reload is completed, she restarts from Ramp-Up phase.
As you can see, Lapluh without Max Ammo▲ will end up spending a lot of her time reloading/charging up. This is heinous, and you want to reduce it by getting Max Ammo OL. Reload Speed doesn’t work because it doesn’t shorten the Ramp-Up phase.
Lapluh's S1 allows her to convert final Max HP into ATK continuously. Without external buffs and with standard investments, this is equal to 100% ATK (1:1). This puts Lapluh's base ATK at 200%, diluting external ATK▲ buffs easily, especially during Burst when she gives herself another 63.36%.
Because of how diluted ATK is for her, ATK OL is much less important compared to ELE and Max Ammo.
While dilution is a drawback, this conversion allows Lapluh to benefit from both Max HP▲ and ATK▲ equally. Units such as Maxwell: Ordinary Mechanic, Flora (Treasure), Rouge, and Trina have kits that buff Max HP▲. Trina has something special up her sleeve, though...
When Lapluh uses Burst Skill, she nukes the screen with 2953.84% Burst Skill Damage. This is extremely powerful and may be the strongest AoE in game, beating that of the just released SCindy! It doesn't benefit from Full Burst buffs and multiplier, but with the number of ATK and ATK DMG buffs she possesses from entering Burst Stage 3, you can be sure to clean the screen, especially in Wind-weak.
If she has Over Energy, which she gains for every 10s shooting in laser mode, her nuke deals additional damage to the target closest to crosshair. This additional damage benefits from all Full Burst buffs and multipliers, and at max stacks, it is the strongest nuke in the game and can quickly dismantle the stage target.
In Mobbing, you can stall the stage while continuously firing with Lapluh to advance Over Energy. With enough Max Ammo, you shouldn't need longer than 1 minute.
Now, the trick that Trina has is that she can buff the initial Burst Skill Damage (not the Over Energy one). If there is only one target, such as in most Bossing, Trina can strengthen Lapluh's Burst Skill ATK Damage by 435.6%▲.
Since this is one of Lapluh's biggest sources of damage, Trina is one of her best partners.
Building a team around Burst Skill Damage takes the focus away from Max Ammo OL, allowing anyone without enough Max Ammo to compete more fairly.
That said, this big boost is only for single targets. If there are multiple, the boost is much less that it's probably better to use other supports.
Lapluh gains 5% Energy for every 12 shots fired (0.5s) with Beam. At 100% Energy, her Over Energy advances. It starts at Stage 0 and caps at 4 for a total of 22.5% Max HP▲. While this Max HP▲ alone is not dramatic, each Over Energy stage increases the coefficient of Lapluh's Burst Skill Additional Damage.
As long as she keeps firing, every 10s spent firing with Beam = +1 stage.
This means the minimum time she has to spend firing is 40s, discounting reload.
With ideal Max Ammo OL, she performs 1-2 Reloads and reaches Stage 4 in 50-60s.
If you don't have Max Ammo OL at all, she can take over 1.5 minutes to reach Stage 4, which leads to massive damage loss, especially in non-Trina teams.
As Lapluh needs stacking and charging up at the start, she should ideally Burst second, unless you are aiming for 15 FB rotations, but that is only possible with 7.48s or higher CDR—not Rouge.
Lapluh is only SS-tier with high Max Ammo OL, otherwise she is S-tier (better solo Liberalio)!
Lapluh's rating in Campaign may sound controversial, but we discussed with Top Campaign Malders for hours before reaching a consensus. Let's be honest; all of us were uncertain where to place her. Placing her in SS makes her look weird in front of SCindy and SWHA who give supportive burst gen, but placing her in S makes her feel out of place because of how strong her AoE and ST (when Over Energy is stacked) are. She has tons of ATK▲ that last permanently and peak when it matters.
She has many fewer shortfalls compared to S units, but unlike those in SS, she is not as plug-and-play. Her high Max Ammo requirement to stack Over Energy faster does need attention. However, since our Tier List assumes sufficient investment, we are rating her at her most optimal investment (4× Max Ammo).
Lapluh's performance in Campaign is decided by the damage of AoE, Single-Target Nuke, and Single-Target Continuous:
AoE: Lapluh's Burst Skill inflicts a large amount of Burst Skill Damage on all enemies. On paper, this is the strongest true wipe in the game even if it doesn't benefit from Full Burst buffs and multiplier. We mathed hers against SCindy's together with standard supports (Anis: Star, Crown, MastM), and we found hers winning, and that is even at 0 DEF. At High Deficit, thanks to Lapluh's overly-diluted ATK buff, this gap can only widen.
Single-Target Nuke: Lapluh's most obvious shortfall is she has pretty much no Single-Target Nuke until she stacks Over Energy (50-60 seconds depending on Max Ammo). However, as long as she Bursts second and has enough Max Ammo, she can reach higher Stages quickly. Now, there are two other differences between her ST Nuke and SCindy's. Lapluh's Nuke is additional damage, so it benefits from all Full Burst buffs and multiplier, whereas SCindy's isn't. Lapluh's Nuke is also targetable (affects target nearest to crosshair), whereas SCindy's aims at the highest final Max HP, which is often the key target, but it still has a chance of hitting wrong. Note that, at Stage 2, she is only slightly below or equal to SCindy (if Deficit is factored in), and at Stage 3 onward, she beats SCindy. We recommend learning how to stall before Boss Wave.
Single-Target Continuous: Another of Lapluh’s downsides is her weaker Single-Target Continuous performance. Now, SCindy wields an MG and deals extra damage to her target every 5s. This, of course, gives her the upper hand, but Lapluh's not far behind. When the enemy has 0 DEF, Lapluh's Continuous Single-Target Damage through Basic Attack is around ~50% of SCindy's, but when Deficit is factored in, this can climb to 67% or even higher. Not only that, Lapluh has the advantage of Pierce. She can hit multiple enemies at once, whether behind shield or terrain, and accumulate personal burst gen slightly faster (not as good as SCindy's and SWHA's burst gen, but Anis: Star can help cover).
Compared to units in S, Lapluh is often superior in Neutral. For example, Ein is good for the mobs but not the stage target. On the other hand, NeonVE is strong against the stage target but not the mobs. Liberalio is good only after the Stage Target spawns and is terrible beforehand (unless used to buff SBS). Alice and RH have no real AoE. BMIlk is obnoxious to play, and her AoE, while useful against Volleyball, is not that strong. HelmTr is just a supportive character who gets powercrept by PrivT, MastM, FloraT, and Anis: Star. Lapluh may have flaws, but hers are not as major as those of the ones in S.
Because Lapluh is good for Campaign, she is also good for Missilis Tower! In fact, she might be the best B3. Will she be our Ultimate Hero?
Lapluh is a key unit for Wind-weak SR due to her potential to be a secondary hypercarry (just like SW). However, she is not meant for people who don't seriously compete in Wind-weak SR due to her high investment entry barrier. Her strength also doesn't extend beyond Raid due to her competitions (Lib + SBS) being vastly better and more accessible. This is unless ShiftUp decides to troll us with a Wind-weak Boss that permanently favors Pierce.
In terms of gameplay, Lapluh can be used in 2 ways:
Regular Team: Pair her with someone like Rouge, Idols, or Mom for a nice assortment of buffs. Due to Lapluh's already diluted ATK▲ pool, we want to focus on the ATK DMG category. This team grants a lot of ATK DMG▲ and Pierce DMG▲. The extra 40% Max Ammo from Mint's Burst also allows Lapluh to reach her ideal 300% Max Ammo target, but don't go any higher. From OL, Lapluh needs at most 260% Max Ammo. You can have lower but not higher.
Hypercarry w/ Trina: Pair her with Trina to buff her Burst Skill Damage, multiplying it by up to 435.6%▲. This multiplication belongs in the ATK DMG category, which Lapluh desperately needs. Since Burst Skill Damage contributes a lot to Lapluh's total damage and doesn't rely on Over Energy, Trina is inarguably Lapluh's best partner. Her Max HP▲ also buffs her ATK slightly. You don't have to worry about the other B3—use someone like Cindy paired with Rouge and alt-Burst Mom for a team heavily based on Max HP.
Max Ammo is more important for the Regular Team than Hypercarry due to her damage pool being more spread out instead of skewed toward Burst Skill Damage. Timing alignment and rapid Over Energy stacking are important.
Trina’s variant relies on buffs applying before Full Burst. For efficiency in Solo Raid, avoid pairing her with units that apply buffs after Full Burst, such as PrivT. Reload Speed is also less important.
She broke a window—so why can’t she break PvP? While she is not an SSS-tier unit, she packs enough destruction to deserve SS. You can refer to her as "Liberalio with an instantaneous nuke but less burst gen" or "Scarlet but Wind". Here are her main strengths:
Insta-Nuke: Lapluh's Burst Skill is an Instant AoE Nuke, which you can use like other nukes. It's the strongest in game, by the way, and can even one-shot Moran (Treasure) who has used Burst Skill despite not having elemental advantage.
Anti-Biscuit Insta-Nuke: Lapluh has ZERO early pressure at all, but that’s a good thing. One way to counter Biscuit comps is to one-shot Defenders before Biscuit grants them Immunity. Immunity is triggered when their HP falls below 50%. Thanks to Lapluh's ZERO early pressure, she can ensure her Nuke demolishes them before this.
Follow-Up Single-Target: Separate from her Nuke, Lapluh still has that SMG laser that Pierces and deals decent damage. This makes her one of the okay (not the best) Blanc Indom targets because she still has damage and is more likely to win Indom War thanks to her high fire rate, as long as she is not reloading or charging by the time Indoms are expiring.
On the other hand, her only weaknesses are that she has no Continuous AoE and that she is weak to Fire. This makes her a prime target for TVesti’s early pressure, lessening her usability on Defense. However, you can use that to your advantage if you know what you are doing (peeks at Rosanna).
Her burst gen in RL mode is standard 5.6 (same as Noise, Rapunzel, etc), but her 2nd rocket onward benefits from built-in Charge Speed▲.
For the best Campaign and Bossing performance, you will want ~260% Max Ammo on top of ELE. ATK still gives a boost, but due to its diluted nature, it is less significant. If you get it in Line 3 (or Line 2 after obtaining a fit Line 3), take it, but you shouldn't prioritize it over ELE & Max Ammo. ATK can also be replaced with Crit.
Primary Goal: 4× ELE, 4× Max Ammo
End Goal: 4× ELE, 4× Max Ammo, 4× ATK/Crit Rate/Crit Damage
The total value of your 4× Max Ammo (or 3× if you are aiming for high values) shouldn't total over >260%. Generally, higher allows you to stack Over Energy faster, but with 260%, it is more than enough.
If you are below the target, you can stop shooting with her for a bit to re-align timings. However, if you are over the target, you cannot re-align timings without delaying Full Burst, resulting in damage loss.
The recommendation is calculated from the length of 2 rotations reduced by Lapluh's reload + ramp-up time.
The Maximum Threshold for different comps:
w/ Rouge: 26-6.7 = 19.3 * 24 = (463.2-120)/24/5 = 286%
w/ 7.48s CDR: 25-6.7 = 18.3 * 24 = (439.2-120)/24/5 = 266%
w/ Rouge + Resilience: 26-6 = 20 * 24 = (480-120)/24/5 = 300%
w/ 7.48s CDR + Resilience: 25-6 = 19 * 24 = (456-120)/24/5 = 280%
You might need this: ×, →, ▲
All of Lapluh's skills are important, but S1 & Burst Skill have the biggest impact.
Skill 1: 10
Increases HP → ATK conversion ratio and laser's overtime damage.
Skill 2: 7~10
Improves Max HP▲ gained from Over Energy, which is another ATK▲.
Increases ATK DMG gained when Bursting (Trina's Burst Skill DMG▲ dilutes it).
Burst Skill: 10
Improves Burst Skill Damage. Indispensable with Trina.
Cube Investments
In theory, her best Cube in PvE are Piercing, Destruction, or Vigor:
Piercing is best with a Basic Attack-reliant team (Idols, for example).
Destruction beats Piercing if the enemy has durable Parts.
Vigor is best with anything else, such as Trina comps.
Resilience isn't optimal because most of her ramp-up is from 5 Full Charge(s), not reload. However, if the level of any optimal cube is far lower than Resilience, use Resilience instead.
Bastion does NOT work because Ammo Refund doesn't affect laser.
In PvP, if highest level cube is not desired, you can choose among:
Vigor: Increases Max HP, which survivability and boosts her Nuke damage.
Tempering: Better personal survivability but less Nuke damage.
PvE Notes: Lapluh doesn’t scale with her Doll’s Weapon Skill but has tons of ATK▲ through conversion that dilute external buffs. We recommend going for SR5 minimum. Get SR15 if you are a competitive Wind-weak SR player or Campaign/Tower pusher.
PvP Notes: Damage Reduction is very important for Wind units due to their being inherently weak to TVesti’s early pressure. Higher Doll also increases AoE instant-kill reliability.
Scales on both ATK and Max HP; good synergy with Rouge and Mom.
Piercing laser can multiply her damage against mobs and Pierce-favoring bosses.
The strongest AoE nuke in the game, beating SCindy’s.
When Over Energy is fully stacked, also has one of the strongest ST nukes in the game.
In Solo Raid, can synergize with tertiary supports such as Trina and Mom, saving the best for better DPS.
Can carry anyone in Missilis Tower if invested.
In PvP, zero early pressure allows her to cheese Biscuit.
Cinderella killer. Maximum damage with maximum volume.
Skin gives SSJ vibe uahhhhhh.
Extremely expensive Max Ammo requirement to be efficient.
Bastion and Ammo Refund do not work during Beam state.
Reload Speed is less effective due to forced Ramp-Up.
Max Ammo total judges timing alignment. Too much Max Ammo can throw off timings.
Diluted ATK▲ buff pool. HP → ATK conversion makes her more dupe-dependent.
As she needs to charge and stack Over Energy, she should ideally Bursts second, unless you are aiming for 15 FB rotations, but that is only possible with 7.48s or higher CDR—not Rouge.
Wind element makes her a prime target for TVesti in PvP.
We do expect her to gain “something” like Marciana. She’s still a damn board bruh.

All of Lapluh's skills are important, but S1 & Burst Skill have the biggest impact. If Trina is in team, S2 becomes less important.
Max Ammo is a must. ELE is great for Wind-weak content. Due to ATK’s diluted nature, it is similar in impact to Crit Rate & Damage.

Lapluh's best B2 partner is Trina, who immensely buffs her Burst Skill ATK DMG. Together with Mom's off-burst buffs and lingering buffs from Cindy's rotation, you can expect Lapluh to deal insane damage. Max Ammo OL is needed for faster Over Energy stacking. This team is played as Rouge-Mom-Cindy, then Rouge-Trina-Lapluh, with Lapluh Bursting second.
Cinderella can be replaced by any B3, but she is the only good Neutral that scales with Max HP▲.
Hero's Mom
Mode: Union / Solo Raids || Element: Wind
A similar team without Trina. This team reduces Lapluh's DMG in favor of Mom's personal damage + an off-burst slot. If your Mom is heavily invested, you can go with this team.

This team is a random Campaign team example for Lapluh. She can be used as an AoE wiper with Pierce for killing enemies behind shield and cover. If invested with Max Ammo OL, she can stall for Over Energy, allowing her to nuke the stage target with the strongest Single-Target nuke in the game.
