Cyrene is a 5★ character from the Ice element who follows the Path of Remembrance.
Cyrene's Quote
Is this a meeting ordained by fate, or... a long-overdue reunion? It's making my heart beat faster. Then... please once again call me 'Cyrene,' just like when we met the first time, okay?
Cyrene's Intro
Cyrene is a Remembrance unit and the capstone support character for all 12 Chrysos Heirs and the Remembrance Trailblazer. She provides exclusive and unique buffs based on the specific Chrysos Heirs she's on a team with when in combat. She can provide some True DMG bonuses to the team as well, and is able to automatically activate every other teammate's Ultimate once per combat.
Cyrene is innately slow in ramping up, requiring Chrysos Heir team setups to charge up her Ultimate at a steadier pace, or even faster in her best compositions. Players can further accelerate the ramp up by investing into Cyrene’s E2.

The Basic ATK deals 50% Max HP to one enemy, and grants 1 Recollection; the Enhanced Basic deals 30% Max HP to one enemy, and 30% Max HP to all enemies, similar to how Evernight's explosive Evey is (one enemy gets 30% + 30%, and the rest get 30%), and grants 3 Recollection.
The Enhanced Basic is less useful for this, since it's only accessible after using her Ultimate for the first time in combat. This Enhanced Basic also does NOT generate SP.

Cyrene's Skill gains 3 Recollection on use, and deploys a Zone for 2 of Cyrene's turns. While the zone lasts, each instance of DMG dealt by all allies will deal an additional instance of True DMG, equal to 24% of the original damage. The Zone will automatically disappear when Cyrene is downed. As this Skill is locked after the first Ultimate of combat, its effects become permanent, and the Recollection gain is shifted into the Enhanced Basic ATK.

Cyrene's entire thing revolves around her Ultimate, as it is what summons the memosprite and enables the unique buffs (which we'll get to). Her Ultimate uses a special energy mechanic, much like Phainon and the like, and she collects points of Recollection.
When Cyrene has collected 24 points of Recollection, her Ultimate may be used. On the first use of the combat, it will summon the memosprite and give it 1 extra turn, then it will grant Cyrene the Ripples of Past Reverie state, enhancing the Basic ATK and locking her out of using her Skill for the remainder of the fight. It also increases Cyrene's and her memosprite's CRIT Rate by 50% permanently.
This initial cast of her Ultimate will also produce a short cutscene during which all other allies' Ultimates will be activated, meaning they now are able to use their Ultimates immediately if you choose. This works for special Energy pools like Phainon, Acheron, Feixiao, and Castorice.
This then gives you a context menu where you select one of the eligible characters to receive a unique buff to them. This includes all of the Chrysos Heirs, as well as the Remembrance Trailblazer, and also herself but with a special condition.
While she needs to get to 24 Recollection to cast it for the first time, the actual Ultimate use itself only consumes 12 Recollection, meaning it is possible to 'double-tap' the Ultimate, able to apply 2 of the unique Chrysos buffs immediately upon gaining access to the Ultimate for the first time.
All subsequent uses of the Ultimate will cost 12 Recollection. Reaching 24 Recollection for the first time will also dispel all debuffs that are on Cyrene, so you won't need to worry about being unable to act.

Lastly, Cyrene's Talent states that upon entering combat, or after Cyrene takes action (her turn, specifically), other ally characters under any state and their memosprites gain Future. When allies with Future take action, they consume the Future status to give Cyrene 1 point of Recollection. As mentioned before, this Talent also provides a 20% DMG boost to allies while Cyrene is on field.
Cyrene's Memosprite
As a Remembrance unit, Cyrene has a memosprite as well. Unlike other memosprites, it's technically not a separate entity. When it's summoned, it will have 0 SPD, will not appear on the Action Order, and is considered Out-of-Bounds, meaning it cannot be actively targeted by anyone.
It has Max HP equal to 100% of Cyrene's Max HP, and any change in Cyrene's HP will be reflected in the memosprite's. Having it on the field will increase both of their Max HP by 24%, and the initial summoning will cleanse all Crowd Control effects from allies.
It's pretty much cheating at being a memosprite by becoming the memosprite. While Cyrene is on the field, ally DMG dealt increases by 20%, this coming from her Talent.
Cyrene's Major Traces
Child of Remembrance
Ripples Across Time
When there are 1/2/3 Chrysos Heir(s) or Remembrance Path character(s) aside from Cyrene in the team, Cyrene gains 2/3/6 ‘Recollection’ point(s) at the start of combat.
Causality in Trichotomy
Her Bonus Abilities are extremely useful and here's what they do:
- A2 states that when a teammate's memosprite is summoned, it gains the Future status. Future that is held by memosprites cannot be consumed, essentially meaning that every single memosprite action (but not including Joint ATKs) will grant 1 point of Recollection for Cyrene.
- A4 says that when there are 1/2/3 Chrysos Heir(s) OR Remembrance characters aside from Cyrene in the team, Cyrene gains 2/3/6 Recollection points at the start of combat. This should be always active ideally, because believe me, you need the starting boost to Recollection if you want to get Cyrene's first Ultimate off in a timely manner. Ignore the part about Remembrance characters; every Remembrance character currently in the game is a Chrysos Heir, and any future ones won't be considered as Chrysos Heirs, so this is just a redundant effect.
- A6 - When Cyrene's SPD is 180 or higher, all allies' DMG dealt increases by 20%. For each point of SPD that exceeds 180, Cyrene and her memosprite get 2% Ice RES PEN, up to a maximum of 120% (bruh) at 60 points of overcap. It's nice to have her at the breakpoint for the teamwide damage, but going over that is tricky because you'll be sacrificing HP to achieve that, and she's not a damage dealer. 200 SPD is a very powerful breakpoint as we'll see later, but again it can be difficult to reach. But hey, Divergent Universe does exist, I suppose.

This is good for dealing extra damage in the fight when paired with a unit that you're likely going to be paired with VERY often. The Remembrance Trailblazer is one of the only ways to truly expedite the accumulation of Cyrene's Recollection for non Remembrance teams without massively disrupting the flow of combat for the other members of the party. It's still pretty scuffed, but it's something you'll likely need to learn and become comfortable with if you don't want to completely suffer with the process of the initial Recollection stacking.
Also, this technically unlocks main DPS Remembrance Trailblazer, but I really don't know about that one, chief, let's leave that to the professional masochists to figure out first, yeah?

This is another way to address E0 Aglaea's lacking Energy economy, and it's much appreciated. The overall buff is very impressive for increasing damage, and can be extended by refreshing her Ultimate before it ends. It doesn't really offer much flexibility in team-building though, as you're just replacing one unit and the rest are still set in stone due to Aglaea's absurd Energy requirements, and since you're likely to be replacing the Remembrance Trailblazer, the gain you get is actually less than you may expect since you're losing on the many benefits provided by Robin.

Considering Tribbie is already one of the best supports in the game ever, it probably makes sense that Cyrene's unique buff to her is underwhelming. It's NOT bad, definitely not, but it's not as impactful as many of the other Odes Cyrene provides. Really, a big reason to want to go for Cyrene in the first place is that she'll be replacing Tribbie in the team comp, letting Tribbie be free to go to the non Chrysos Heir teams that so desperately want her. If that's you, then you don't need to care about the power of this Ode since you're unlikely to ever see it. For the rest of you, damage is damage, so y'know.

Mydei's is particularly noteworthy for being just kinda way stronger when compared to almost every other unique Ode buff, like, this is almost certainly an interaction that makes Cyrene his best support, especially if you have Eidolons on Mydei. Getting an instantaneous free GBG is an insane boost to damage, and it even has an extra bit of CRIT DMG attached too. This is extremely worth paying attention to if you're a Mydei enjoyer.
The other part of the effect is completely worthless, however. If Mydei isn't in Vendetta by the time Cyrene has her Ultimate, you have done something fundamentally wrong, and — actually I'm not even sure that's possible under normal gameplay scenarios. Just disregard this part of the buff.

This reads to be very impressive indeed, but it functionally serves as a way to prevent the loss of Newbud due to overcapping, something that can indeed happen with the premium Castorice team, or for particularly vertically invested Castorices. This is something I'll touch on a bit later, as it lets me segue nicely.
For regular Castorices, in practice this only ends up being a small boost to damage in those low target scenarios when the full buff is unlocked, becoming a lot less valuable when you're against more than 2 targets. In these cases, it becomes a lot less worthwhile to hold off on summoning Netherwing just to accumulate overcharge, as you end up delaying other beneficial effects that trigger off of Netherwing exploding.
It is however, still a very nice quality of life change that allows you to potentially hold off on summoning Netherwing to account for changes in the fight, such as waiting to clear a straggler from the current wave, or waiting until after the rest of your team (namely Hyacine and Evernight) nuke down some fodder to allow Netherwing to really destroy things when summoned.

If you're wondering whether this works with Cerydra's Peerage buff, it absolutely does. Timing Coup de Main to occur alongside this Ode buff will result in Anaxa using his Skill 4 times, as expected, but with each of the Skill uses having 8 Bounces instead of the usual 5, resulting in a hilarious 32 Skill Bounces. Man is just orchestrating a light show at that point.
The unexpected The Herta buff in the form of the Erudition specific damage bonuses is certainly nice, but extremely difficult to make use of in practice, since Cyrene is also not really helping The Herta to achieve her gameplan, certainly not as impressively as someone like Tribbie. Perhaps in future this'll be easier to utilise, but there's every possibility that this Ode's effects will be better spent on some shiny new Erudition in the 4.X saga.

The Ode to Sky effect is obtained whenever Cyrene's memosprite uses its Memo Skill, meaning that you technically never need to target Hyacine with the Ultimate at all, and just passively gain and recover the Ode to Sky stacks as Cyrene launches Memo Skills.
Each stack is only consumed when Hyacine herself acts, but the healing increase is so laughably high that it borders on illegal; you'll get people throwing hackusations in showcases if they don't know what Cyrene does for Hyacine. This affects everything that Hyacine and Ica want to be doing, and it not only results in extra healing, but also more damage for Little Ica's Drill that pierces the heavens™ thanks to an increased damage tally, and also substantially more Newbud generation for Castorice.
The 24 Energy when used directly on Hyacine is the cherry on top for when you really want to ensure maximum Irate Ica uptime.

This is an impressive boost to Cipher's already immaculate debuffing capabilities. There's just one problem with it... Cipher isn't really the first pick for most of the true 'best-in-slot' teams with Chrysos Heirs, since the spot is usually highly contested based on the other supplementary effects those supports give. Cipher is much more frequently used in non Chrysos Heir teams as one of the trio of top tier Quantum supersupports due to her SP positivity and damage accumulation.
If you want to use her with Chrysos Heirs, this is an excellent way to do so, but it's unlikely you'll want to if you already have the best team setup ready to go, and it's also unlikely you'll bunch Cyrene and Cipher together for a non Chrysos Heir team just to get the benefits of this Ode.

This is an amazing lore-accurate buff with lots of flavour that ends up being highly confused in practice. This is designed to let Phainon truly shine as the main character in your team, never needing to exit his Ultimate after some initial setup, and getting to carry all those initial buffs into infinity. The 6 Coreflames she gives are pointless because Cyrene's first Ultimate will already activate everyone else's Ultimates, so it's literally just there for the CRIT DMG boost that could have been unconditional.
Because it IS conditional, it can literally only ever be maxed out by an E6 Phainon, since that is the only time that you can hold a maximum of 18 Coreflames; before then you only get 15 max, so your cap on the CRIT DMG boost is actually 36% which is a lot less impressive.
The unending Khaslana Transformation is indeed epic, and the HP drain is only Current HP, meaning it's not able to kill you outright. Combined with the Max HP recovery inherent to Khaslana, you can keep yourself more topped up than not, but your overall survivability is still a bit lower than without this Ode. The extra Fire DMG instances are almost purely cosmetic, and the 4 points of Scourge upon using the finisher attack is not a bonus; when you enter Phainon's Ultimate, you always get 4 points of Scourge to lead with his Meteor, so all this is saying is that you are not losing any Meteor opportunities due to the Eternal Ignition.
As mentioned by the asterisk, if you die in the Ultimate, you need to work your way back into the Ultimate as normal, and without the usual setups Phainon uses without Cyrene, this is nothing short of agonising — so much so, that it is often better to just reset the fight if you ever leave the Ultimate in this way, as you have no way to guarantee the survival of your teammates, and the build up to the next Transformation will take several more Eternal Recurrences.
If you are expecting to die, you can of course try to keep 12 Recollection on hand, but if you look me dead in the eye and say your plan involves factoring in your primary damage dealer dying midway through, I am sorry to say that I am not going to take you seriously. The combination as a whole is underwhelming and I am unconvinced.

18% DMG is not very high, but on that nuclear warhead of a jellyfish, it is nothing to scoff at. The CRIT DMG sharing from Evernight's Skill is also increased to be a new maximum of 36%, which is the much more noteworthy buff.
Evernight benefits from these all by herself, but it's not like she really needs the help, and her existing teams are already pretty baller when she's in the main DPS position.
However, these are extremely potent buffs for the premium Castorice team in which Evernight is the supporting sub DPS; giving this amount of extra CRIT DMG to the whole team's memosprites is fantastic, especially considering the Ode buff that both Hyacine and Castorice receive from Cyrene, and this is the situation in which you should really pay attention to the synergy.

This functionally makes Peerage activate at 5 points of Charge instead of 6, after the first use of the fight. This is... rather unimpressive compared to some of the other buffs, but the big difference is that Cerydra is heavily present in at least two Chrysos Heir teams (Phainon, Anaxa) and now even a third thanks to Cyrene's Ode for Mydei being really damn strong. This means she's going to be getting a surprising amount of use out of this otherwise meagre Ode.
Over the course of a fight, this can end up being activated a lot of times, granting you far more double-Skills than you would otherwise be able to get, and especially with Mydei now, timing it to get a double GBG is a lot easier, and it's just... Chef's kiss.

Why use lot word when few word do trick. Maybe I should do every review like this...
Oh also, you get more Bounces on the attack for each unique Recollection you collect (besides herself and... herself), and this includes memosprites, meaning you're capped at 3 extra Bounces in non Remembrance teams, but can reach up to 6 extra Bounces if everyone else is a Remembrance unit.

Ah you thought this was just for Hyacine? Yeah, no, apparently Dan Heng gets this weird effect as well that relies on Cyrene's Memo Skill getting used to refresh the buff effect as well.
A pretty much permanent 24% DMG to the Bondmate is exceptional, since it's again coming from the sustain slot of the team, and giving extra Enhanced attacks to Souldragon leads to quite significant damage increases, and the increased shield strength is just the cherry on top, but really it's just not that necessary since Permansor Terrae is already just kinda insane on his own.
Dan Heng also has a similar issue to Cipher where he's not actually used on all the Chrysos Heir teams. It's not as pronounced as Cipher, since Dan Heng is pretty frequently seen on the ATK scaling teams, but he's unlikely to show up for any of the HP scalers, since they all prefer Hyacine's Light Cone — I mean, Hyacine.

This is similar to the Ode that Aglaea gets, granting Energy after attacking. This mechanism is in place to prevent Energy overcap immediately, due to Cyrene's first Ultimate activating all allies' Ults too.
120% DMG is a very funny number, and getting to Detonate DoTs on every attack you do is very powerful indeed, but how useful is it really? You mustn't forget that Cyrene is occupying a slot in the team, which means that at least one other DoT character isn't going to be present (usually Black Swan, at least for now).
This also means that Cyrene is only really being brought to the team for Hysilens, and that can definitely feel quite wasteful, especially since Cyrene's Ultimate only gives a meagre 40% DMG boost to a non Chrysos Heir. Perhaps pairing Hysilens with Dan Heng and Cyrene can let the two of them have their benefits and make it work well, and then have Kafka supporting from the final slot as the main Detonator before Cyrene's first Ultimate.
It is definitively good, but it is also definitely a lower level of power when compared to the other DPS Odes.

Signature vs Eidolons
Are you wondering whether you should pull for Cyrene Eidolons or her Light Cone? Then this section is for you!
Cyrene E2 > Cyrene S1 > Cyrene E1
- Cyrene E2 - Gives her 12 additional Recollection stacks at the start of battle, helping Cyrene to use her Ultimate within a much more reasonable timeframe. For teams that do not have other Remembrance allies, it is recommended to aim for Eidolon 2 before her S1.
- Cyrene S1 - S1 offers strong DMG amplification especially in CRIT-scaling teams, and helps her with reaching SPD thresholds, though it lacks utilities like giving her faster access to her Ultimate. Teams that can recharge her Ultimate reliably through memosprites can consider the Light Cone before Eidolons.
- Cyrene E1 - Gives 6 Recollection points after the first 2 Ultimates and then every third Ultimate, which can be especially useful with One-time effect triggers like Mydei and Anaxa. However, her main weakness with slow Ultimate charging rate outside of Mono-Remembrance teams still remain, as this refund is only after she gets her initial Ultimate. Only go for E1 if aiming for E2, not recommended to stop at E1.
Synergy
- Hyacine - The fastest unit to charge Cyrene's Ultimate, thanks to her naturally reaching high SPD and her actions always being followed by Little Ica for 2 Recollection stacks. After Cyrene uses her Ultimate, Hyacine will automatically gain "Ode to Sky" without having to be actively targeted. The buff increases the rate of the healing tally for Little Ica's Memosprite Skill DMG (not the healing output).
![Hyacine]()
- Aglaea - Cyrene fixes Aglaea's SPD ramp up time by instantly stacking her Memosprite Talent to the max, but since her Ultimate takes a while to generate this is not useful unless Aglaea exits her Supreme Stance. However, Cyrene's other amplification effects are potent and help with Aglaea's high energy cost, as she can repeatedly use her Ultimate on Aglaea to restore 70 Energy.
![Aglaea]()
- Mydei - Every use of Cyrene's Ultimate can trigger Mydei's Godslayer Be Gods attack while also massively boosting its' CRIT DMG. He is no longer as dependent on HP loss to dish out his highest damaging ability, and can use it exactly when you need by timing Cyrene's Ultimate.
![Mydei]()
- Tribbie - Cyrene provides minor buffs for Tribbie's DMG but it is only for herself. For that reason, it is generally not worth casting the buff on Tribbie unless there are no other good targets. Tribbie is still a strong support in general even without the buffs, and being a Chrysos Heir can increase Cyrene's Ultimate stacks at the start of battle.
![Tribbie]()
- Castorice - Cyrene is the last Remembrance teammate to complete Castorice teams. Despite her Memosprite being untargetable, it will always mirror Cyrene's HP fluctations, resulting in additional Newbud generation for Castorice. Her buffs allow Castorice to overcharge her Ultimate up to 200%, and increases her detonation attack damage based on overflowed Newbud, stronger against 2 or less targets. In multi-target situations, it is not recommended to overcharge her Ultimate, as the majority of Netherwing's DMG would be from the Breath attacks, whereas it is unaffected by overflowed Newbud. Against 2 or less targets, Cyrene will massively boost the Bounce DMG from 40% per instance, up to 112% at max overflow, resulting in impressive Single-Target damage. Keep in mind the condition is checked when using her Ultimate, and not when the attack occurs.
![Castorice]()
- Anaxa - Cyrene offers beneficial buffs for both Anaxa's Sub DPS and Main DPS playstyle, but it's recommended to stick to Main DPS Anaxa with Cyrene. Every Ultimate will grant Anaxa an immediate action, a Skill Point, and additional Bounce instances for his Skill which can be duplicated by Cerydra. Lastly, for both of his playstyles, Cyrene's buffs also provide a large increase in Skill DMG for other Erudition allies.

- Phainon - Cyrene is overall a comfortable support replacement for Phainon, although she can suffer from slow Ultimate startup time without other Remembrance characters on the team. Cyrene allows for Phainon to never leave his Ultimate, continuosly refreshing his Extra Turns and recovering Scourge while doing so, and also adding minor Fire DMG instances to his attack alongside CRIT buffs.

- Hysilens - Despite weird wording, Cyrene's buff on Hysilens is mostly permanent, enabling Hysilens to detonate DoT debuffs via her Basic ATK/Skill and also increasing her DMG dealt by a whooping 120%. With this, her Skill can hit all 5 targets on the field and trigger her own Ultimate Zone effect. However, reapplying Cyrene's buff on Hysilens will regenerate 60 Energy for her Ultimate to detonating DoT debuffs and recover Skill Points.

- Cerydra - Cyrene reduces the amount hit required to trigger Coup de Main from 6 to 5, and additionally increases the target's CRIT DMG by 30%.

- March 7th • Evernight - Cyrene has a permanent buff on Evernight that improves her CRIT DMG scaling by an additional 12%, increases her Memoria generation and Memosprite Skill DMG. The mono-Remembrance team members all deal considerable damage, and boosting Evernight's own amplification effect is a great buff to further reinforce this.

- Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae - With Cyrene on the team, Permansor Terrae does not need to be actively targeted by Cyrene's Memosprite Skill, and will additionally increase the Bondmate's DMG dealt by 24% whilst also providing even more Bondmate based DMG multipliers. Can also use Cyrene's Memosprite Skill on Permansor Terrae to trigger an emergency Follow-up ATK and Shield.
