Intro
Arknights: Endfield breaks the standards followed by most modern gachas, opting to instead follow a system similar to its predecessor (“Arknights”), while also introducing secondary systems that are both directly and indirectly tied to its gacha system. There’s a lot to unpack here, so let’s start with the short and simple:
- Although the rate up characters have a 50% odds on their respective banners (referred here as “Chartered Headhunting”), Endfield doesn’t follow a 50/50 system. This means that if you get a 6★ character who is not the featured Operator, you are not guaranteed that your next 6★ will be the featured Operator. Instead, Endfield uses a “spark” system, guaranteeing that you will get the featured Operator within 120 pulls. This only triggers once per banner.
- At 60 pulls, you get a “Headhunting Dossier”. This item can only be used in the following Headhunting, and counts as one multi (x10 pulls).
- Pity only carries over up to 80 pulls. From 81 onwards, it doesn’t carry over anymore, and you lose all saved pity.
- In all banners, a 5★ or higher is guaranteed every 10 pulls.
- There are weapon banners. However, these banners are nestled within their own system, called “Arsenal Exchange”. As of Endfield CBT II, the currency for the Arsenal Exchange can only be obtained in a reliable manner through pulling for characters.
Intro
The two premium currencies in Endfield are “Origeometry”, acquired with cash or from certain missions (rare), and “Oroberyl”, acquired from several sources ranging from dailies, weeklies, exploration, missions and so on.
- Origeometry can be converted both into Sanity or Oroberyl;
- 1 Origeometry = 75 Oroberyl or 40 Sanity;
- 1 Character pull = 500 Oroberyl;
- 10 Charater pull = 5000 Oroberyl or roughly 66.6 Origeometry.
With the basics out off the way, let’s go for a deep dive into each individual system.
Beginner Banner

The “Beginner Banner”, called “New Horizons Headhunting”:
- You can only do multi-pulls (10x). You can only use an item called “New Horizons HHx10 Permit” for this banner. This item is awarded by progressing through the main story. After 40 attempts (4 multis), you get a 6★ Operator.
- The only available 6★ are Ember, Ardelia, Last Rite, Lifeng and Pogranichnik.
- If you hit a 6★ early on in this banner, you aren’t guaranteed to get another one.

Chartered Headhunting

The Chartered Headhunting is the main gacha system for acquiring limited characters in Arknights: Endfield. Each pull costs 500 Oroberyl (or 6.66 Origeomery), with multis costing 5000 Oroberyl (or 66.6 Origimetry). The rates are the same as the beginner banner. In this type of banner:
- Every 10 attempts guarantees a 5★ or higher Operator;
- There’s no rate up 5★.
- If you don’t get a 6★ Operator within 65 pulls, each subsequent attempt increases the probability by +5% for a 6★ Operator. This means that you have a 5.8% chance on pull 66 (and 2.6% that it will be the rate up Operator), 10.8% on pull 67, and so on.
- A 6★ Operator is guaranteed within 80 pulls.
- The featured Operator is guaranteed at 120 pulls. This is called a ‘spark system’ and only triggers once.
- The spark system doesn’t carry over between banners, don’t waste pulls if you just want to build it!
- For every 240 pulls, you will receive a bonus token of the featured operator.
- Operator Removal Process: The featured operator will remain in the list of available operators after their banner is finished for the next two banners. After that, the removed operator won’t be added to Basic Headhunting.
- Further explanation: At the 4th banner, Laevatain will be removed from the list of available operators, and “New Operator 1” will be added. Gilberta and Yvonne will remain available. At the 5th banner, “New Operator 2” will be added and Yvonne will be removed, with Gilberta and “New Operator 1” remaining, and so forth.
- At the “Quota Exchange” tab of the Acquisition Center, you can exchange “Bond Quota” (acquired from 5★ and 6★ operator dupes) to buy up to 5 HH Tickets valid only for the current Chartered Headhunting, at the price of 15 Bond Quota each. You can also buy Chartered HH tickets at the price of 25 Bond Quota each.

Arsenal Exchange

The “Arsenal Exchange” is where you can buy weapons directly or pull on a gacha called “Arsenal Issue”.
- Arsenal Tickets can be obtained from the gacha with the following rates:
- 2000 from 6★, 200 from 5★, 20 from 4★.
- On an average “unlucky multi” you get 380 Arsenal Tickets.
- The unluckiest scenario possible guarantees a total of 8560 Arsenal Tickets, which guarantees 4.32 pulls in the Arsenal Issue. This also guarantees at least one 6★ weapon. However, the featured weapon only has a 25% drop rate among the guaranteed (more about this in the section below).
- All characters have 5★ and 6★ weapons that are tailored for their kits, but there are other weapon options, adding more leeway for teambuilding and diversity.
- Buying a 5★ weapon for your main DPS may be a good way to speed up early game progression, as those are fairly cheap (400 tickets) and you can choose exactly what you need.
- Buying a 6★ weapon directly is a good cost-benefit than compared to pulling from the Arsenal Issue. The only problem here is that it may take a long time for your desired 6★ weapon to appear on the featured list.
About the Arsenal Issue
The “Arsenal Issue” will always have the ‘signature weapon’ of the current featured Operator as is rate up. The drop rates are as follows:
- 6★ weapons: 4%
- 5★ weapons: 15%
- 4★ weapons: 81%
There are a couple of caveats to this gacha. The first one is that you can only do multis (10x pulls), with each multi costing 1980 tickets (versus the cost of 2480 to buy a 6★ weapon directly). Each issue attempt guarantees a 5★ or higher weapon, and every 4 issue attempts guarantee a 6★ weapon. However, the featured weapon only has a 25% rate up.
The Arsenal Issue banner has an 8-attempt guarantee to give the featured weapon. Like the character banner, this is another ‘spark’ system, only triggers once, and does not carry over.
At 18 attempts, you are guaranteed to receive a bonus dupe of the featured weapon. After that, you will continue receiving bonuses 6★ every 8 attempts that will alternate between the featured weapon, and a random weapon among the 6★ selection.
There are also several other Arsenal Issues featuring signature weapons for non-limited Operators:

About Dupes, aka Potentials

Dupes are formally called “Potentials” in Endfield, and go from 0 to 5. To fully max out an Operator, you need to get them 6 times, with their current amount of dupes being referred to P0 (no dupes), P1, P2, P3, P4, P5 (max).
Meanwhile, increasing a Weapon Potential will always increase the pip of its third passive, as well as its limit. Each upgrade strengthens the effect of the passive, and while this may be a good option to improve your character’s performance in-battle, it’s indispensable to mention that the game also features an Essence system. Essences are, in short, items with random tags that can be attached to a weapon in order to increase one or more of its three passives. Note that you can't get more than 4/9 pips on weapons without dupes. For more information about them, refer to the Essences Guide.

Quota Exchange

There are three types of Quota Exchange: Bond Quota, AIC Quota, and Endpoint Quota.
Bond Quota
As already explained, Bond Quota can be acquired every time you get a dupe of a 6★ or 5★ operator. The values are 50 for each 6★ dupe, and 10 for each 5★ dupe. This tab offers 5 HH Tickets of the current banner at a 40% discount (15 Bond Quota each), unlimited Chartered HH Tickets at 25 Bond Quota each, one dupe for a 5★ operator at 200 Bond Quota, and several rare items and other materials.
AIC Quota
AIC Quota can be obtained when you get a dupe of a 5★ or 4★ operator who you already have at max dupes. The conversion rate is 20 per 5★ dupe, and 5 per 4★ dupe. The materials in this shop are more generic, but nevertheless useful to speed up progression.

Endpoint Quota
Aka the Whale Exchange. This currency can only be obtained by converting a dupe of an already max-potential 6★ operator. The conversion rate is 10 Endpoint Quota for each additional 6★ dupe. In this shop, you can exchange 20 quotas for 6★ standard weapons. Note that only standard weapons are available here. As of the writing of this article, it has not been disclosed if signature weapons for limited operators will be moved here at some point or if they will be gone once their issue is gone.
