Mavuika is a 5-star Pyro Claymore character who is most commonly played as an on-field DPS, though she can also take a supportive role. Her gameplay consists of choosing between two modes with her Skill that each focus on her on-field or off-field presence, with her Burst scaling off of Nightsoul point consumption and supercharging her on-field damage. As such, Mavuika’s access to and utilization of Nightsoul mechanics as a Natlan character are even more essential to her kit.
As alluded to earlier, Mavuika takes this one step further: instead of using Elemental Energy, she instead charges her Burst with “Fighting Spirit”, needing at least 100 to cast her Burst and being able to hold up to 200. 1.5 Fighting Spirit can be gained when anyone in the party uses a Normal Attack, but more importantly she gains 1 Fighting Spirit per point of Nightsoul consumed by characters on the team.
She can do this herself through her Elemental Skill, which can be Tapped or Held; both give her Nightsoul’s Blessing alongside 80 Nightsoul points, which are steadily consumed at a rate depending on what Mavuika is doing. Her Tap Skill gives her an off-field presence through giving her “Searing Radiance”, which deals Pyro damage to enemies every 2 seconds. On the other hand, Holding her Skill bolsters her on her on-field capabilities, allowing her to mount her bike to use “Flamestrider” attacks which allows her to use a special Dash that deals damage while enhancing her Normal, Charged, and Plunging attacks and converting them to Pyro. She can freely switch between these two forms while she has her Nightsoul’s Blessing, and loses access to Searing Radiance and Flamestrider attacks when it expires. Note that even though Mavuika herself doesn’t use Energy, her Skill still generates a whopping 5 particles that can be used by her team.
Using her Burst consumes all Fighting Spirit to launch a powerful nuke while granting her Nightsoul’s Blessing, 10 Nightsoul points, and the “Crucible of Life and Death” effect for 7 seconds while on-field. This pauses her own Nightsoul point consumption and adds a substantial extra multiplier to her Flamestrider Normal and Charged Attack as well as her Burst’s nuke based on the amount of Fighting Spirit consumed by her Burst. Thus, while Mavuika can generate a good amount of Nightsoul points on her own, she still appreciates ally Nightsoul point consumption especially when played in her primary role as an on-field Main DPS.
Her Passives both offer simple buffs; her first Ascension Passive, for instance, grants her 30% ATK when a Nightsoul Burst is triggered. Her second Ascension Passive allows her to grant a DMG% Bonus to the active character when her Burst is used that decays over 20 seconds, with a maximum value of 40% when 200 Fighting Spirit is consumed. This makes casting her Burst relevant in an off-field playstyle if the substantial damage it deals wasn’t a sufficient reason, while being utilized by Mavuika herself when playing on-field.
Finally, her standard Normal Attacks are subpar and generally never used.
