Core Passive Sky Knight
The 4th hit of the Basic Attack, the EX Special Attack, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack, Ultimate, and Dodge Counter are considered Unbridled Spear attacks.
Whenever Sigrid uses and hits an enemy with any Unbridled Spear in combat while not in the Aerial Patrol Spear state, she enters the Aerial Patrol Spear state and gains 1 use of Basic Attack: Converging Spear that cannot be stacked.
While in the Aerial Patrol Spear state, when Sigrid hits an enemy with an Unbridled Spear skill, the Aerial Patrol Spear state is refreshed and she gains 1 use of Basic Attack: Converging Spear that cannot be stacked.
When triggering or refreshing Aerial Patrol Spear, its duration decreases as the stage of Basic Attack: Converging Spear increases. At stage 1/2/3, its duration is 8/7/6s.
When Aerial Patrol Spear ends, the stage of Basic Attack: Converging Spear is reduced by one, to a minimum of stage 1.
Activating or refreshing Aerial Patrol Spear increases Sigrid's CRIT Rate by 33% for 8s. Repeated triggers extend the duration by 8s, up to a maximum of 40s.
When Sigrid hits a Stunned enemy while in Aerial Patrol Spear, the Stun DMG Multiplier of her DMG dealt to the target is increased by 20%.
BASE ATK: 0
Additional Ability Legion of the Skies
When another character in your squad is a Support or Stun character:
Sigrid's ATK increases by 120. This effect scales with character level, with each level providing an additional increase of 12, up to a maximum increase of 840.
DMG increases by 15% when hitting enemies in the Contamination state.

Review
This tier list assesses Agents (characters) based on their combat potential in Zenless Zone Zero's most demanding contents - Deadly Assault (DA) and Shiyu Defense (SD). Please keep in mind Zenless Zone Zero is a skill-based game and each character has a different playstyle, difficulty level and even special tricks and combos. Zenless Zone Zero is also a team based game and it's only by combining both these factors to the highest level a character can reach optimal performance.
Incredibly high damage output, being a step above most CRIT DPS Agents that came before her.
Diverse team options, being able to get great results with a variety of Stunners and Supports, be they limited or standard.
Flexible builds, with multiple usable Drive Disc sets and having competitive W-Engine alternatives to her Signature.
A in Track, an S in Distance, and an S in Style.
Managing resources can be tricky, as aligning her enhanced Basics and Decibels for combos can demand specific routing.
Misses out on her full Additional Ability’s value without Wind, and can be too saturated in certain multipliers, which lessen some teammates’ value.
Frustrating to roll substats for, as she can easily overcap on CRIT Rate.
1-star Guts Spark.
Sigrid is an Ice Attack Agent whose gimmick revolves around levelling up a timed stance by using certain skills. When first entering it, she gets a stack that lets her use an enhanced Basic, which progresses the stance further, so that the next refresh gives her an even stronger enhanced Basic, and so on.
She then has extra mechanics tied to her enhanced Basics, like having the ability to parry attacks with their use, losing out on the attack’s damage but immediately progressing the stance and getting higher Daze on the next enhanced Basic. She can also enter the “Formation Breaker” state when landing her Chain Attacks on Stunned enemies, letting her do a full set of enhanced Basics without needing to refresh her stance in between.
That’s really the crux of her gameplay: stay in stance and keep refreshing it to progress her enhanced Basics, then unload as much damage as possible in stun by making use of high-damage moves and her Formation Breaker state.
Both her Core Passive and Basic Attacks are tied to one another.
Sigrid has a 4-part standard Basic Attack string, with the last hit of the string being considered an “Unbridled Spear” attack. Other Unbridled Spear attacks include her EX Specials, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack, Ultimate and Dodge Counter.
Whenever she lands one of these attacks on an enemy, it will put her in the “Aerial Patrol Spear state”, tracked by the gauge under her portrait in combat, and lasting 8/7/6 seconds depending on its level.
This has multiple effects: it buffs Sigrid’s CRIT Rate by up to 66% for 8 seconds, with repeated triggers extending it for up to 40 seconds total. Her attacks get a 20% Stun DMG Multiplier increase, and she gets access to an upgraded version of her EX Special.
The first entry into the Aerial Patrol Spear state will also give her 1 non-stackable use of her enhanced Basic Attack: Converging Spear. This will turn the gauge blue and have it begin ticking down, as well as building up a point on the side that will keep flashing.
Landing another Unbridled Spear attack before using an enhanced Basic will not advance the Aerial Patrol Spear state! It will only refresh its duration.
By holding down the Basic Attack button, she will use the enhanced Basic and progress the Aerial Patrol State to the next level, which will turn the gauge grey and cause the point to stop flashing.
This will not refresh its duration! The bar will continue to decrease, and if it drops to 0, it will drop down a level and have Sigrid exit the Aerial Patrol Spear state. Swapping out of Sigrid will pause the decay, though.
If another Unbridled Spear attack lands before it expires, but after an enhanced Basic was used, then that will refresh its duration and give another non-stackable use of the enhanced Basic, with the higher the level, the stronger the attack. After the third enhanced Basic, the level will reset and the cycle continues. This makes for a loop of:
Unbridled Spear attack > enhanced Basic 1 > Unbridled Spear attack before Aerial Patrol Spear state runs out > enhanced Basic 2 > Unbridled Spear attack before Aerial Patrol Spear state runs out > enhanced Basic 3.
There is one way to advance the Aerial Patrol Spear state without using an Unbridled Spear attack. If Sigrid happens to be attacked while performing an enhanced Basic, she will instead parry the enemy and not deal any damage. This will then refresh the state’s duration, give another enhanced Basic use and increase its Daze dealt by 100%.
This works as a “free” level up to the next level’s enhanced Basic (if at under level 3!), but it may not be worth doing as the loss of time that comes from the parry animation can make it worse than cycling through more attacks.
Sigrid’s Additional Ability is distinct from all of these effects, demanding Support or Stun characters in the team and giving up to 840 Combat ATK to Sigrid (scaling with her Agent level) and a 15% DMG bonus when hitting Contaminated enemies.
Sigrid has 3 different Special moves, but only 1 is used. Her Special is best avoided, as it is not an Unbridled Spear attack, but her 2 EXs are.
There is a standard EX that costs 60 Energy and will be used when out of the Aerial Patrol Spear state.
Then there’s an enhanced EX that costs only 50 Energy and will be used when in the Aerial Patrol Spear state. It’s the only EX that should ever be used, as it deals far more damage - over 2.3 times the amount of a standard EX!
As it’s an Unbridled Spear attack, it can progress her state and give an enhanced Basic use. Given how hard it hits, it’s a great tool for stun combos.
Another great tool is Sigrid’s Chain Attack, which deals a lot of damage, gives a 20% DMG bonus to all enhanced Basics for 50s after use, and if it hits a Stunned enemy, will put Sigrid in the Formation Breaker state.
This will store the current Aerial Patrol Spear level before resetting it and re-entering Sigrid into it at level 1. Instead of needing to use an Unbridled Spear attack between every enhanced Basic, the Formation Breaker state will let Sigrid go through all 3 of them, back-to-back, just by holding the Basic Attack button, all the while preventing the state timer from ticking down.
Once done, it will return to the stored level. So if the next enhanced Basic would have been a level 3, once the Formation Breaker state is done, it will retain that stage and keep it as a level 3.
Keep in mind that the last enhanced Basic in the Formation Breaker state will use up an enhanced Basic use even if it had been stored beforehand, and as soon as it lands, the Aerial Patrol Spear will begin to tick down again. This means that it’s best to avoid using an Unbridled Spear attack right before it.
The Formation Breaker state can only happen once per stun, and any other Chain Attacks done after will function as a regular Unbridled Spear attack.
Sigrid’s Ultimate is a lot simpler: a high burst of damage that’s also considered an Unbridled Spear attack.
Sigrid’s Dodge Counter is decent, being an Unbridled Spear attack and retaining the progression of her regular Basic. This means if she’s about to go into a Basic 4 and does a Dodge Counter, that gives her an enhanced Basic use, and then after that it’ll go right back into Basic 4 for another enhanced Basic.
Her Dodge and Dash Attack are as standard.
Sigrid’s Assists are mostly unremarkable, with the notable aspect being that her Assist Follow-Up counts as an Unbridled Spear attack and deals decent damage.
The parry mechanic on Sigrid’s enhanced Basics does not build any Daze by itself (it only increases the Daze build of the next enhanced Basic), so a Defensive Assist into Assist Follow-Up will be better in that regard.
Although every team and encounter will need to be tailored, the principle behind Sigrid’s game plan is very simple: cycle through as many enhanced Basics as possible.
There is a degree of resource management needed. Trying open stun with an enhanced Basic 3 can help squeeze in a bit more damage, so timing attacks or swapping out of Sigrid to maintain the short 6-second duration of the Aerial Patrol Spear so that it’s up for the start of stun is a form of skill expression on her. With Formation Breaker storing the string, though, it can also be left to mid-stun, even if it’d demand an Unbridled Spear attack to build up to. With how strong her EX is, saving it to stun combos as a means to progress her enhanced Basic and deal its own damage is helpful too.
That’s about it for the fundamentals though; Sigrid is quite simple in her gameplan. The difficulty is in the execution, so as to maximise the number of enhanced Basics in a fight and optimise around getting the highest value skills during burst windows.
A sample combo for Sigrid with Norma would be:
Enhanced Basic 3
Sigrid Chain Attack
Enhanced Basic 1
Enhanced Basic 2
Enhanced Basic 3
Sigrid Chain Attack
Enhanced Basic 1
Enhanced EX
Enhanced Basic 2
Norma Chain Attack conversion to Sigrid
Enhanced Basic 3
Ultimate
Norma’s Chain Attack conversion is best used between enhanced Basics so as to trigger while Sigrid is in animation to speed things up.
Keep in mind that this is only a template, as it’ll change depending on enemy stun durations, freezeable state and the team. Try to get as many enhanced Basics in stun between EXs, Chain Attacks and Ultimates for the most damage.

For ZZZ calculations we worked alongside Rivyn Elowen - check out her channel here. Any other content such as comments on W-Engines, Disks, etc are our own.
The W-Engines are listed in order of priority. Sometimes the percentages appearing near them won't reflect their performance as pure damage or Stun output isn't the only thing we're looking at - the utility of the W-Engine might be more important than the calculations imply.

Hormone Punk is likely to be the better generalist set for Sigrid. Although she is quite saturated in Combat ATK and its bonuses have a cooldown, the raw amount of ATK given is high and many of her teams have stun extensions, meaning that she still gets value out of it whether its triggered early or late. No calcs are provided as 4-piece set values can change significantly between different teams.
Best combined with your choice of 2-PC Set:
Puffer Electro
2
If Dialyn is being used, then Puffer Electro is the best-in-slot pick for Sigrid. Its buffs can be triggered consistently as Dialyn would allow for at least 1 Ultimate every stun, often 2, enabling this to have high uptime for when it matters.
Best combined with your choice of 2-PC Set:
Branch & Blade Song
Astral Voice
Hormone Punk
Polar Metal
3
With so much of Sigrid's damage coming from her enhanced Basic Attacks, Dawn's Bloom can be a great pick that's often competitive with Hormone Punk, and can be better if she's vertically invested. Be mindful of the 4-piece effect trigger criteria, as to get most value from it, an EX would need to be used shortly before or at the start of a combo. No calcs are provided as 4-piece set values can change significantly between different teams.
Best combined with your choice of 2-PC Set:
Puffer Electro
Substats: CRIT RATE (until 33.8% in statscreen) > CRIT DMG = ATK% > PEN > ATK
ATK: 3000 - 3400+
HP: 9500+
DEF: 750+
CRIT RATE: 33.8% (any more and she’ll overcap due to the 66% from her Core Passive!)
CRIT DMG: 150% - 210%+ (W-Engine mainstat and D4 picks can give it a large range)
Basic Attack
Chain Attack
Special Attack
Assist
Dodge
Teams & Synergy
Below we list only the most important synergies for Sigrid. The character can work with others if you know what to do and how to use them.
Norma
Dialyn
Lycaon - The top Stunner choices for Sigrid, in order. Norma is the all-around best choice, as getting extra Chain Attacks helps with Decibel management and is a significant increase to damage, owing to both its own multipliers and enhanced Basic stacks. Dialyn can enable the Puffer Electro set and Sigrid's Ultimate hits especially hard, so she isn't far behind on the damage front, and her high burst Daze application can allow her to match or even outperform in certain fights. Lastly is Lycaon, who despite being a standard Agent, has great buff value and doesn't fall behind in the Daze department, especially as matching weaknesses make him a great pick for all of Sigrid's best fights.
Sunna
Rina
Astra Yao - These 3 are all great Support picks for Sigrid. Sunna is likely to be the best for most players, as her buffs are easy to maintain and she can either enable 5 stuns in some fights or make 4 stuns a lot easier owing to her Daze. Assuming an equal number of stuns though, Rina can match or even outperform her (especially at M2+) as Sigrid's saturated stats make PEN Ratio that much more valuable. Astra is strong too, as her Ultimate's Chain Attack conversions are a big help at boosting Sigrid's damage, so all 3 are competitive picks.
Lighter
Ju Fufu - Both of these Fire Stunners still make for good Sigrid picks. Lighter's buff contributions are very high, and his stun extension can make it easier to fit in more enhanced Basic Attacks in Stun when lacking in resources. Ju Fufu may not be as good in those aspects, but her increase to the Decibel cap and recovery on Ultimate use can open up new routes, all the while having low field-time commitments. These 2 can struggle with Daze though, to the point some double Stunner teams (like Norma/Lighter) can do as well as a Stunner Support shell. For more Teams, check this video:
