Core Passive Five-Star Service Hotline
Upon entering the battlefield, Dialyn starts with 60 Positive Reviews. If her initial CRIT Rate surpasses 50%, her Impact increases by 1.4 for each additional 1%, up to a maximum increase of 100.
After using EX Special Attack: Rock, the next EX Special Attack becomes EX Special Attack: Scissors for 8s.
After using EX Special Attack: Scissors, the next EX Special Attack becomes EX Special Attack: Paper! for 8s.
When EX Special Attack: Paper! hits an enemy, it applies the Malicious Complaint effect. While under Malicious Complaint, if the enemy becomes Stunned, the Stun duration is extended by 2s, and Stun DMG Multiplier increases by 15% Before recovering from Stun, Malicious Complaint can trigger on the same target only once. The Stun duration bonus does not stack with similar effects. When an enemy with Malicious Complaint recovers from being Stunned, the effect ends.
While in combat, Dialyn gains 0.6 Positive Reviews per second. When a heavy attack of EX Special Attack: Rock, EX Special Attack: Scissors, or EX Special Attack: Paper! hits enemies, she gains 7.5 Positive Reviews. Each use of a skill can grant this bonus only once, up to a maximum of 120.
With at least 90 Positive Reviews, when Dialyn triggers the Chain Attack window using Chain Attack: Welcome Mat, EX Special Attack: Get Lost!, or Quick Assist: Forward Call, the next character to switch in will have their Chain Attack upgraded to an Ultimate. When an ally launches an Ultimate this way, Dialyn consumes 60 Positive Reviews.
With at least 90 Positive Reviews, when Dialyn hits an enemy with EX Special Attack: Get Lost! and doesn't trigger a Chain Attack window, she consumes 90 Positive Reviews to forcibly trigger a Chain Attack window. The next character to switch in will have their Chain Attack upgraded to an Ultimate.
Each time Positive Reviews reaches 90 or an Ultimate is activated, Dialyn obtains 1 Customer Complaint. A maximum of 1 Customer Complaint can be held at a time.

Additional Ability External Line
When another character in your squad is an Attack or Rupture character or shares the same Faction:
Dialyn's EX Special Attack CRIT DMG is increased by 50%.
When an EX Special Attack or Ultimate is activated, all squad members gain the Overwhelmingly Positive effect. While Overwhelmingly Positive is active, DMG dealt is increased by 40% for 15s. When Dialyn uses an EX Special Attack or Ultimate while Overwhelmingly Positive is active, if the remaining duration of Overwhelmingly Positive is less than 35s, its duration is extended by 10s.
When a heavy attack from EX Special Attack: Rock, EX Special Attack: Scissors, or EX Special Attack: Paper! hits, additional DMG is dealt based on the previous squad member's Specialty:
If the squad member is an Attack Agent, EX Special Attack: Rock, EX Special Attack: Scissors, and EX Special Attack: Paper! deal additional DMG equal to 320% of that Attack Agent's ATK.
If the squad member is a Rupture Agent, EX Special Attack: Rock, EX Special Attack: Scissors, and EX Special Attack: Paper! deal additional DMG equal to 400% of that Rupture Agent's Sheer Force.

Review
This tier list assesses Agents (characters) based on their combat potential in Zenless Zone Zero’s most demanding contents - Deadly Assault (DA) and Shiyu Defense (SD). Please keep in mind Zenless Zone Zero is a skill-based game and each character has a different playstyle, difficulty level and even special tricks and combos. Zenless Zone Zero is also a team based game and it's only by combining both these factors to the highest level a character can reach optimal performance.
Endgame Modes
Her Ultimate conversion mechanic is meta-defining, being absurdly strong in its value offering.
Allows for better combo routes on many teams owing to her stun duration extension.
Well-rounded buff offering, making her less susceptible to stat saturation.
Some of the highest Daze build in the entire game, being a competitive option even against Physical resistant enemies.
Enables the use of Puffer Electro 4-piece for most Attackers, making them easier to build and play.
Will help you pick up your phone.
Does not gain much Daze from most weapons, being reliant on her Signature W-Engine for the best routes.
Steep CRIT Rate requirements mean she can be demanding regarding Drive Disc substat counts.
Forwards to voicemail way too quickly.
Dialyn is a Physical Stun Agent who can convert other units' Chain Attacks into Ultimates, all the while providing hefty buffs and extending stun durations that allow for brand new combos.
The bar under her portrait in combat tracks her "Positive Reviews". This has a cap of 120, and regenerates either passively - at a rate of 0.6 seconds - or whenever the Heavy Attack portion of her regular EX Special string hits enemies - at 7.5 per hit. When the gauge reaches 90, it will change colour and stock a "Customer Complaint" point.
This Customer Complaint point can also be stocked when using an Ultimate, and by holding Basic Attack while one of them is in stock, she will consume it to use her EX Special: Get Lost! - an alternate EX Special that won't use up any Energy and apply a sizable amount of Daze. To keep things simple, this can be referred to as her "Hold Basic EX Special".
Depending on how many Positive Reviews Dialyn has, different things can happen. If she is under 90, then it will trigger a reverse Quick Assist. If she is at or above 90, then this will forcefully trigger a Chain Attack regardless of the enemy state, so it can be done even when enemies are out of stun!
After triggering a Chain Attack window (the little menu where you select the next character to Chain Attack with) via certain moves, namely her Quick Assist, Chain Attack or Hold Basic EX Special, she will consume 60 points of Positive Reviews and convert the selected character's Chain Attack into their Decibel Ultimate.
If the Chain Attack is triggered forcefully through the Hold Basic EX Special (so when enemies are out of stun, or when the stun bar isn't rainbow), then it will consume 90 points instead of 60 for this conversion. It isn’t recommended to do this though, as it can be difficult to keep up with her resource requirements, so try to always use it when there are Chain Attacks left to trigger.
By constantly using EX Specials to build Daze and Positive Reviews, then triggering Chain Attacks through her Hold Basic EX Specials or other moves, Dialyn can massively increase a team's total damage output by giving them far more Ultimates than they'd otherwise get in a run!
Dialyn's Core Passive is what encompasses much of what has been covered above: it outlines how she gains Positive Reviews, how she gains Customer Complaint points and the Ultimate conversion effect.
There are a few extra bits to her Core Passive though. The first is that Dialyn gets 2 Combat Impact for every 1% of CRIT Rate over 50%, maxing out at 100 extra Impact when at 100% CRIT Rate. When coupled with Dialyn's low base Impact, this means that Impact % bonuses - be it from D6 or Stunner W-Engines - are not as good on her as Daze %. Do refer to the Build section for recommendations on this.
She also applies a 30% Stun DMG Multiplier increase and extends stun durations by 2 seconds when the last hit of her regular EX Special string, "Paper" lands on enemies. This means that most characters don't have to worry about not having the time to fit in multiple Ultimates in a stun window, as Dialyn provides more time with which to land them.
As for her Additional Ability, it activates on Attack or Rupture Agents, and it increases the CRIT DMG of all her EX Specials by 50%, while also making all of her regular EX Specials deal additional damage based on the preceding character's stats, scaling with the Attack stat for Attackers and Sheer Force for Rupture Agents.
This means that team order matters for Dialyn, as she does contribute a decent amount of personal damage. Placing her after an Attacker or Rupture Agent is needed to get full benefit, but isn't absolutely necessary to get value out of her.
The last, and most important part, of her Additional Ability, is a team-wide 40% DMG Bonus after casting her own Ultimate or any of her EX Specials, called "Overwhelmingly Positive". This lasts 15 seconds at first, but if the duration of the buff is under 35 seconds, it can be extended by landing more of them, with each hit increasing it by 10 seconds.
Before covering the rest of her kit, it's important to understand Dialyn's EX Specials.
There's the aforementioned "Get Lost!", which consumes 1 Customer Complaint point and no Energy, but she also has 3 regular EX Specials. These are the bulk of her Positive Review and Daze build, and cost 25 Energy each.
They are "Rock", "Scissors" and "Paper", with each linking to the next when cast in succession. They don't need to be used straight away though, as there is an 8 second window to cast the next one. You're free to swap out of Dialyn or use other moves between casts.
After Rock and Scissors, pressing Basic will let Dialyn link into an alternate Basic Attack. Rock leads to alternate Basics 1 and 2, with Scissors leading to alternate Basics 3 and 4.
Dialyn's regular Special has very poor stats across the board and is rarely worth using.
Dialyn's Basic Attacks are rather underwhelming, with unremarkable damage, Daze and Energy values. Her alternate Basic Attacks though (those accessed after regular EX Specials) can be decent.
A string of:
EX Special Rock
Alternate Basic 1 & 2
EX Special Scissors
Alternate Basic 3 & 4
Is an effective way of on-fielding Dialyn. The total Daze build per second she gets from spamming EX Specials vs interspersing them with alternate Basic Attacks isn't very different, but using them can help extend Dialyn's field-time and build a bit of extra Energy.
Dialyn's Dodge Counter is alright, but nothing particularly outstanding. It does have decent Energy gain for the time it takes, so it can be used if needing a little extra for an EX Special.
Despite it being one of the longest Assist Follow-Ups in the game, it also has the highest Daze multiplier as of the time of her release.
Given how slow it is, you should be mindful of its long animation lock, but the high Daze that it provides makes it a worthwhile option to use if needing Daze and lacking in Energy to sustain EX Specials.
Her Quick Assist isn't very good, but it is one of the 3 ways that she can activate her Ultimate conversion if it triggers a Chain Attack, so something to keep in mind.
Dialyn's Chain has rather mediocre damage and isn't particularly fast, but it also isn't terribly slow and has a decent amount of Anomaly application, which can help with Decibel management in fights.
It is, however, one of the 3 ways that Dialyn can activate her Ultimate conversion and likely to be one of the most commonly used. As long as she isn't the last one to use a Chain Attack, she will trigger a Chain Attack window with it.
Her Ultimate has the lowest Daze build value out of all Agents at the time of her release and it isn't all that fast either, but it does stock a Customer Complaint point.
As Dialyn gets a Customer Complaint both from hitting 90 Positive Reviews and from her Ultimate, juggling between them means more uses of her Hold Basic EX Special, which more than makes up for its lacklustre Daze.
Dialyn is a very flexible Agent: she can be played mostly on-field or off-field, so long as you are able to sustain the Energy generation she needs to build Positive Reviews for every stun.
In simple terms, all that one needs to do is make sure to cast at least one full string of her regular EX Special, so Rock, Scissors and Paper. Landing Paper is very important, as that is how her Stun DMG Multiplier increase and duration extension are applied.
The earlier she uses an EX Special, the better, as that applies her Overwhelmingly Positive 40% DMG Bonus buff to the whole team. As you can stagger her EX Special casts 8 seconds apart, it's perfectly fine to use an EX Special despite not having the full 75 Energy required for all 3 consecutively, as long as enough can be built before the timer runs out after each cast.
Once all buffs are up and debuffs are applied, you would split your focus between building enough resources on your main damage dealer (such as Zhu Yuan shotshells, Evelyn Burning Embers, Yixuan Technique Points, etc.) and making sure that Dialyn gets 90 Positive Reviews in time for stun.
With her Signature W-Engine, she can be mostly kept off-field for its Energy Regeneration bonus and brought in occasionally for EX Specials. Without it, you may need to make use of her alternate Basics between EX Specials to have enough resources.
Once Stun begins, make sure to use one of the attacks that can trigger the Ultimate conversion to use up her Positive Reviews and go into a stun burst combo.
The easiest way to achieve this is usually do:
The more optimal way of initiating stuns though, is through:
As Ultimates don't count as Chain Attacks, this allows for you to get both an Ultimate conversion and still get your damage dealer's Chain Attack off!
After the stun ends, it's rinse and repeat. Don't take too long between EX Specials to maintain her 40% DMG Bonus, apply her debuffs with Paper, and keep a close eye on Dialyn's resources so that you have enough Positive Reviews before every stun.
Build and teams
The W-Engines are listed in order of priority. Sometimes the percentages appearing near them won't reflect their performance as pure damage or Stun output isn't the only thing we're looking at - the utility of the W-Engine might be more important than the calculations imply.
With the way Dialyn works, "Impact %" is a significantly worse stat than "Daze %", which influences her W-Engine choices. In addition to this, the majority of Dialyn's Daze build is driven by her EX Special use, where Energy Regeneration has an outsized effect on how fast she can stun; it is due to this resource dependency that there are no calculations for her W-Engines.

While off-field, the equipper's Energy Regen increases by 1.5/1.7/1.9/2.1/2.3 per second. When the equipper deals Physical DMG with an EX Special Attack, the Daze dealt by the equipper's attacks increases by 9/10.3/11.7/13/14.5% for 10s, stacking up to 3 times.
At 3 stacks, all squad members gain 30/34.5/39/43.5/48% additional CRIT DMG for 40s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Only one instance of this CRIT DMG boost effect can exist in the same squad.
2
When off-field, the equipper's Energy Regen increases by 0.6/0.75/0.9/1.05/1.2 per second. When using an EX Special Attack, the equipper's Impact is increased by 10/12.5/15/17.5/20% for 10s, stacking up to 2 times. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
3
For every 10 Energy accumulated, the equipper's Impact is increased by 2/2.3/2.6/2.9/3.2%, stacking up to 8 times. After Energy is consumed, this bonus remains for 8 more seconds. The duration of each stack is calculated separately.
4
When the target's HP is no lower than 50%, the equipper inflicts 10/11.5/13/14.5/16% more Daze. When the target's HP is no lower than 75%, this bonus is further enhanced by 10/11.5/13/14.5/16%.

King of the Summit is the de facto best Stunner set, so it stands that it is used on Dialyn. It is especially easy to use it on her, as she actively builds for CRIT Rate, so meeting the 50% threshold is never an issue, and the low cost EX Specials mean constant uptime.
Best combined with your choice of 2-PC Set:
If at below 100% CRIT Rate, Woodpecker is likely the better option, otherwise use Swing Jazz.
Substats: CRIT RATE (until 100%) > CRIT DMG = ATK% > PEN > ATK
Impact % is never a worthwhile choice, as the higher EX Special use count that ER provides far outweighs the marginal increase brought about by Impact %, owing to Dialyn's low base Impact stat.
ATK: 2400+
HP: 9500+

CRIT RATE: 80% - 100%

Calculations
Since Dialyn is a support, it's hard to showcase number-wise how her Mindscapes impact her performance as there's too many factors to take into account - the teams you're using her in, etc. Instead, we will provide information here in text form, giving some information about the impact of the dupes passives on her and her teams.
Dialyn's M1 is incredibly strong, with a near unquantifiable value add. It provides 15% All-Attribute RES Ignore to all characters under her Overwhelmingly Positive buff, which effectively has 100% uptime. This is a little lower, but comparable to other strong Mindscapes like Astra's and Lucia's, being a sizeable damage gain by itself. What makes Dialyn's M1 truly broken though, is that it increases Positive Reviews generation by 16% from all sources. On the surface this seems like it'd just help with having enough before stuns but if you can go in with a full 120 Positive Reviews, after consuming 60 for an Ultimate conversion, doing another full string of EX Specials after a short wait can just about give enough back to get a second Ultimate conversion in stun.
This means that - if one really wants to - it's possible to get 2 Ultimate conversions from Dialyn in a single stun period, skyrocketing how much damage she can help a team do.
M2 is relatively straightforward. The Malicious Complaint applied by Dialyn's EX Special Paper now further increases the Stun DMG Multiplier by 20%, for 50% total, and increases DMG dealt to the target by 15%.
It's decently strong, as Stun DMG Multipliers tend to see little saturation and getting a DMG Bonus on top is great, especially as it applies both in and out of stun. Just keep in mind this does mean you'll want to apply Malicious Complaint faster, as it has value even in the pre-stun period.
M4 is a decent quality of life. It gives 20 extra Energy on start, which helps with quick stuns and getting Malicious Complaint applied faster (and this matters now, due to M2). It also gives a 500 ATK increase to Dialyn, further boosting her already sizeable personal damage contribution.
It isn't all that good a Mindscape when compared to the others, although it can have outsized value in Shiyu Defence speedruns by enabling faster Positive Reviews build and early stuns.
Dialyn's M6 can range from negligible to very strong. The way it works is that after an Ultimate conversion, the incoming character can trigger an Afterburn-like attack from Dialyn once a second, up to 12 times. This scales with Dialyn's own ATK (and other stats too, so don't ignore them!), which after M4, can be pretty high.
How good this Mindscape is depends on how long a fight takes. It's reasonable to expect each cycle to do anywhere from 2-3 million damage, massively increasing Dialyn's personal contribution in a fight. The more Ultimate conversions, the more value this has. At M6 though, players are likely killing bosses very quickly, which lead to fewer opportunities to get value from this Mindscape. So it's good to help pad out damage, but it isn't likely to make much of a difference given the level of investment needed.
