Ilona is an incredible single-target DPS.,Her lock-on sniper skill makes her focus on a single target unless changed or defeated. During Sniping Mode, she becomes an AOE machine capable of decimating multiple targets; however, she only attacks whenever a Red card is used.
Playstyle and Key Mechanics
Ilona’s playstyle revolves around dealing AOE wipes during her Sniping Mode. It is crucial to draw multiple red cards and great cost generation to fully utilize her.
Starting with [Lock-on Sniping], this is a red card that precisely snipes a target. After using this card, Ilona will now focus on that target till it is neutralized.
Next is [Optical Camo], a very simple defensive card that makes her [Invisible] for 10 seconds, making her untargetable.
Lastly, her Ultimate [Sniping Mode], Ilona will assume a stance and will only attack whenever a red card is used; she can still use [Optical Camo] while in this stance. Using [Lock-on Sniping] will now summon a [Tactical Dog] and will launch [Tactical Missile] whenever she uses another [Lock-on Sniping].
Investment
Ilona doesn't really have much damage increase with her Awakening; however, it is good to have her at Awakening 2 simply for the convenience. The rest are just bonuses.
Awakening 1 - Ilona’s snipe attacks now inflict [Injure], making targets take more final DMG, a really great upgrade as it also benefits the team.
Awakening 2 - Her blue card [Optical Camo] can also draw 2 cards, and will prioritize red ones, making card cycling faster and will help her proc more shots while in sniping mode.
Awakening 4 - When an ally turns [Invisibile], she will immediately trigger a [Tactical Missile], great for partnering with someone who can use [Invisibile] or have equipment that has [Invisible] affixes.
Awakening 5 - [Sniping Mode] duration is now extended to 15 seconds and has increased trigger rate for [Ballistics] (Resonance 1).
Resonance
Resonance 1 - Incredible damage bump being a Resonance 1, makes it an easy upgrade considering the small resource cost.
Resonance 2 - Whenever she is [Invisible], she increases her ATK per second.
Resonance 4 - A great upgrade helping thin out the deck and deal more damage during [Sniping Mode] by making her red card [Lock-on Sniping] draw more [Lock-on Sniping] from the deck.
Resonance 5 - [Sniping Mode] will now fire an extra [Tactical Missile], significantly improving her damage output.
Synergies

SSR Unbewusstes Probe: Whenever you play a Red card of cost 3 or more, random enemy receive 3% less healing. This effect stacks up to a maximum of 75%.
SSR Volcano: [Ignite], [Blaze], [Wildfire], and [Inferno] dealt deal 25% more burning damage per second. This effect stacks.
