Tier List

Please check the criteria, tags and other information below to learn about our approach when creating our Resonance Solstice tier list.

Roles

DPS - Characters whose primary role is to deal damage. This includes different elements and deck mechanics, as long as they’re focused on damage output.
Utility - Characters whose primary role is to amplify team damage or to reduce the enemy damage dealt. This includes Buffers, Debuffers, CC units, as well as characters focused on deck cycling (Card Draw and Cost Generation or Reduction).
Sustain - Characters whose primary role is to heal and keep your crew members alive.
Defense - Characters whose primary role is to keep your crew members alive by tanking the damage dealt by the enemy team and protecting your team by assorted means (blocks, shields, barriers, etc.).

Categories

Here are the categories we're rating the characters in:

General - this Tier list rates the Characters according to their General Performance across all PVE content. Depending on the particular Stage/Fight’s Elemental Weakness and Mechanics, some characters may perform better or worse.
Eternal Scuffle - This Tier list rates the Characters according to how they perform in the Eternal Scuffle gamemode, which includes how fast they can help clear a stage and how well they synergize with the limited selection of Characters.

Criteria

Use of optimal Auto Deck Builds or proper Manual Play, with optimal Auto gameplay having more weight than those who need to rely on Manual.
Use of optimal Support characters and Synergies.
Use of optimal Equipment that benefits the character's gameplay.
Awaken - SSR Characters are rated at A0, whereas SR/R/N characters are rated at A5.
Resonance - Characters are rated at max Resonance (R5) unless specified otherwise, since you can disable R5 on your units for some deck interactions.

Ratings explained

T0 - Characters who almost always represent the strongest option within their teams/role.

These characters are highly versatile and can be seamlessly integrated into various team compositions. They consistently outperform their alternatives within their respective roles.
These characters significantly impact their teams’ performance by contributing an incredible amount of value - either as potent Damage Dealers or through powerful utility built into their kits.

T1 - Characters that excel in their role or in a frequently occurring niche.

These characters excel at what they do and are regularly called upon to fill that niche.
These characters are staples of the roster and see frequent use across various game modes.

T2 - Characters that excel in an uncommon, but important niche.

These can be specialized or situational characters who, while still useful and usable, see limited play depending on what teams the player is running.

T3 - Characters are playable if you like them.

These characters struggle to make a noticeable impact or have big competition in their niches, but since this game is about deck synergies, you can still use them!

Box - Box.

Paladi added as T0 Defense. Paladi is released along with the Reforming Center update; she features high defensive capabilities and applies stun and elemental status effects, mainly wildfire and electrify. She can also summon mech units as a part of her firepower; these mech units are responsible for the defensive wall deployment and application of status effects and debuffs. Thanks to her abilities she is a flexible pick to existing teams and possible future teams.

Mumei as T0 DPS and

Ikoma as T2 Defense for Scuffle Tier list. Mumei offers a good balance of damage and utility perfect role for a sub-dps or Main dps with having a good team for her, guarantees a smooth rn. On the other hand Ikoma as a defense unit doesn't really offer any damage mitigation to allies and he has a selfish kit that doesn't really scale well.

Mumei as T0 DPS and

Ikoma as T1 Defense. Both of these characters are released as a part of the Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress Collaboration, both of them are full red card users with the ability to [Ignite] and [Slash] enemies. Mumei is a great DPS that can dodge attacks while restoring cost she also has great AOE coverage making her suitable for most content. Ikoma is a defense character that has a DPS kit, its kinda weird seeing a defense character like him not having Shields and stuff, he is mostly focused on single target and applies debuff further increasing a targets damage taken, He is also available for free to exchange in the Collaboration Event.

Added a Tier list for The Eternal Scuffle; these characters will be part of the temporary roster until we get more SSRs to fill the selection. There are also Unreleased SSRs to fill that gap. SRs and Rs will be removed later in the future.

Pelota added as T1 Utility Incredible core for the current and future electro teams. She offers a variety of utility being shields, heal, card draw and buffing damage. Not only that she can also do tons of damage once she accumulates enough Volts.

Added

Shizuru [Summer](Utility, T1). Shizuru is in a bit of a weird spot as she sits in a fence between DPS and Support. Despite being versatile with her Card Draw and buffs, that's a spot already secured by Nayuta/Stella and the characters who could make her shine more haven't been released yet.

Shizuru(Down from T1 to T2) Regular Shizuru basically is downgrade from her new SSR version, while lacking Card Draw.

Nicola added as T0 DPS. Not only she's undeniably the strongest Electro DPS in the game right now, it will take a long while until we get more Electro units. Even so, they will improve Nicola's teams further (e.g. Pelota) instead of replacing her.
