Ren is a Basic attack and Familiar-focused DPS. She applies a variety of debuffs to enemies while buffing allied Familiars. Due to her kit, she is best used as a sub-DPS.
Playstyle and Key Mechanics
Ren can summon her familiar Jackdaw, which deals damage and summons. She also changes her stance when meeting the correct conditions.
Main Cards:
For her first card, [Obliterating Smash] is a 2-cost red card where she wields the Morningstar to deal Frost DMG to nearby enemies once while inflicting [Stun], [Corrupt], and [Chill], with each stack of [Injure], [Confuse], [Scorch], or [Gaze] on the target granting an extra hit.
Next is [Dark Plume], a 3-cost card where she summons [Jackdaw], which inflicts [Confuse] and [Gaze] on the target, deals Frost DMG and absorbs DMG for Ren, inherits part of her stats, and at 5 Jackdaws on the field, it fully heals them while dealing extra Psychic DMG and applying more [Confuse] + [Gaze].
Them [Mirage Horizon] her Ultimate cast a field effect for 6 seconds, dealing Psychic DMG to all enemies once per second, granting [Invisible] to herself and all [Familiars], and making all allies under [Invisible] deal 50% more Final DMG.
Derivatives:
[Crushbone] - Wields the Morningstar to deal Fire DMG to all enemies once while inflicting [Break], [Injure], and [Ignite], with each stack of [Corrupt], [Confuse], [Scorch], or [Gaze] on the target granting an extra hit.
Investment
Awakening investments for Ren are quite subpar. You either keep her at Awakening 0, go to Awakening 2 or go all-in to Awakening 5.
Awakening 1 - Gain ATK when inflicting [Berserk], [Corrupt], [Injure], [Confuse], [Scorch], or [Gaze]
Awakening 2 - When she is [Invisible], grant [Berserk] to her and her [Familiar] and whenever she gains [Berserk], remove 1 stack of [Inhibition].
Awakening 4 - Generate 0.1 cost per second for each [Jackdaw] present on the field.
Awakening 5 - Whenever she uses 3 skill cards, draw 1 card, and remove a number of [Inhibition] stacks equal to the Cost of the drawn card. This is very effective when using her as a leader.
Resonance
Resonance 1 — Utilizes [Inhibition] to dictate her current stance.
Resonance 2 — Each [Gaze] effect during [Mirage Horizon] increases the target’s Final DMG taken.
Resonance 4 — Each gained or removed [Inhibition] stacks provides positive effects.
Resonance 5 — Enhances [Mirage Horizon] to gain new effects. If Ren is in [Savage] state, discard all [Obliterating Smash] from your hand. If Ren is not in [Savage] state, add a number of [Obliterating Smash] equal to the amount of [Jackdaws] on the field from the deck or discard pile to your hand, up to 3 cards.
Synergies

UR Phoenix Down: Increase ally [Familiar] DMG by 20%. For each [Familiar] on the field, further increase the DMG by 3%, up to a maximum of 50%.
SSR Unbewusstes Probe: Whenever you play a Red Card of cost 3 or more, random enemy receive 3% less healing. This effect stacks up to a maximum of 75%.
SSR Million-Tons Revelation: ATK +80
SSR: Degenerate Blackrock: Increases wearer's final DMG dealt by 10%. This effect stacks.
SR Viscera Collector MK 0: Using [Leader Skill] restores 0.4 Cost. This effect stacks.
R Mass Projector: Using [Leader Skill] increases ATK by 1.5%. This effect stacks.
R Magic Wand: Playing a Purple card has a 20% chance to restore 1 Cost. The trigger rate stacks.
R N-Ray Gun: Whenever the wearer inflicts [Confuse], reduces the enemy's DEF by 10%, lasting for 6 seconds.
Armor:
UR Grandfather Reactive Armor: At the start of battle, convert 5% ATK of the ally with highest DEF to the wearer's ATK. When taking DMG, transfer 25% of the DMG taken to the ally with highest DEF.
SSR Simulated Stars: Using [Leader Skill] restores 5% HP. This effect stacks.
SSR External Memory Matrix: Max damage taken per hit is 33% of Max HP.
SSR Black Rock Armor: Reduces wearer's final DMG taken by 10%. This effect stacks.
SR Resonance Fiber: When own skill card is used, restores 2% of Max HP.
Accessory:
UR Karma Dice: Increases all allies' all trigger rates by 3%. This effect stacks.
SSR Mobius: Cards in your hand are replenished 0.25 seconds faster. This effect stacks.
