Skills Overview
Passive Immunities
Under Inferno difficulty, Khloros and Dreadcrow are immune to all Control effects, Turn Meter- effects and [DoT] effects.
How to counter?
- Khloros and his minions are fully immune to all Hard CCs - that is any effect that prevents actions. This includes not only Stuns, Freeze, Slumber but also Taunt, Forgetfulness, Silence and any similar effect that impairs the enemy from acting the way they want to. Accordingly, it’s important to focus more on Stat Debuffs like DEF- and various team buffs instead of trying to disable the Boss’ and the Crows’ mechanics.
- Turn Meter - effects do not work, and therefore by extension Turn Meter Steal is also ineffective. Instead, players should focus on frequently applying [SPD-] and abusing Turn Meter+ buffs for your own team.
- [DoTs] don't work either, so it’s impossible to cheese with Withered Sania and her Acolytes.
Scythe
Deals 750% DEF damage to a single target and applies SPD- for 1 turn.
How to counter?
- Bring a source of [DEF-] - compared to its other skills, this one isn’t a major threat since [Immunity] or Purify will already be abundantly available to counter the other skills.
Shadow Rift
Deals 3 hits of 250% DEF damage to all targets. The final hit applies Petrify. Then deals 600% DEF damage to a random single target and applies SPD- for 2 turns.
How to counter?
- Bring a source of [DEF-] and [Immunity] to the battle. While Petrify can be purified, its disruptive impact is too much to rely on Purify alone. An exception to this is DokiDoki[Backup], which automatically activates before the petrified Animus takes action.
Phantom Chase
Deals 300% DEF damage to the enemy with highest aTK, then applies Soul Binder to self fot 2 turns and increase own Turn Meter by 50%.
Soul Binder: Detonates when removed upon expiration, dealing 2000% DEF as true damage to all enemies. Removes 1 stack of this effect after each enemy Animus acts.
How to counter?
- Whenever an allied Animus takes a turn (Extra Attacks/Counters and other out of turn effects do not count!), 1 stack of [Soul binder] out of 10 is removed from Khloros, and the nuke is canceled if that number reaches 0 before Khloros takes two turns after the buff was applied. Strong SPD manipulation and Turn Meter generation are absolutely necessary unless you can burst the boss down in a couple of turns, as the [Soul Binder] activation is akin to an AoE nuke that can wipe out your entire team, or leave only the tankiest of the bunch barely alive.
Carrion Crows
At the start of battle, grants self 3-turn Immunity.
How to counter?
- Bring a Debuffer with a reliable Dispel on Skill 3, with high Effect ACC/high hit count to maximize the odds of removing the immunity. Without it, the lack of [DEF-] on the boss and his ability to get SPD+ will quickly snowball his extreme damage output out of control.
Team Composition Tips
There are currently two completely different setups to beat Khloros - and we’ll cover both separately. One is focused on high Speed and huge bursts to quickly take the boss down, however any failure to land the initial Dispel is likely to result in a defeat. The other method is to build an extremely sturdy team full of Supports/Bruisers and slowly whittle down the Boss without caring about its damage besides the nuke, although failing to purify the [Petrify] effect at the wrong time can lead to a wipe from the nuke.
The Burst Setup
- Pick 1 or 2 Debuffers:
- Viper - Viper offers a high ACC Dispel and [SPD-] combo on Skill 3 that can be repeated often throughout the fight thanks to his passive, making him an excellent choice in general.
- Plume - hit Dispel/[DEF-]/[Weakness], passive SPD Reduction and DMG increase make up for an ultra powerful debuffer that covers both offense and defense.
- Heinrich - [Buff Block], multi-hit Dispel and Crit Rate/Crit Dmg amplification through debuffs are perfect for your typical Burst team, but beware that Heinrich offers no defensive utility at all.
- Mizuki Makoto - Dispel and [DEF+] on S3 gives your squishy team some help to survive the few turns it needs to kill the boss.
- Kloss - Multiple DEF and SPD reductions are enough to earn Kloss a spot in the burst setups, however her lack of Dispel makes one of the previous Debuffers mandatory to pair with her.
- Dinah - For pure offense and only playable with another Debuffer previously mentioned (other than Kloss due to the lack of Dispels). Her Reason Affinity means she can only be played in fights that last a couple of turns.
- Pick 1 DPS:
- Yeli - Thanks to her [DEF-] on Skill 3 and her powerful (but random Skill 1), Yeli is easy to slot into the team.
- Liliam - With her massive damage on Skill 3 coupled with Skill resets from her teammates, Liliam is capable of incredible single-target burst without relying on luck.
- Pick 1 or 2 Supports:
- Lily - Teamwide [SPD+], insane Turn Meter+ and extra attack generation paired with CD reduction for your DPS - Lily once again does it all except providing [Immunity].
- Ninfoniel - Unique [ATK+], big Shield and [Immunity] can all be applied twice with Codex of Magic Shell, making Ninfoniel an excellent option for hard hitting setups.
- DokiDoki - Doki offers huge turn meter generation, CD reduction and a pre-action Purify for your whole team, making her ideal with nukers in this setup.
- Lingluo - The more defensive variant to Ninfoniel, Lingluo shines in double Debuffer setups that need more time to reach the finish line, offering precious survivability through Heals and [Immunity].
The Stall Setup
- Pick 1 Debuffer:
- Viper - Thanks to his ability to spam Dispels and [SPD-] in AoE while being naturally tanky, Viper fits very well in slower formations where stability is focused.
- Plume - The longer the fight goes on, the more Plume gets to stack her Debuff, resulting in massive Damage increase on top of taking care of the Dispel, [DEF-] and adding Damage- from [Weakness].
- Pick 1 DPS:
- Rahu - [DEF-] on Skill 1, AoE [DEF+], Damage and DEF scaling as the fight goes on and Hollow Affinity, Rahu is designed for longer fights and Khloros is no exception.
- Yeli - With a more defensive build, Yeli can still provide a lot of damage, inflict [DEF-] and even steal the [SPD+] that Khloros receives. The Bloodbath set is highly recommended for this setup to avoid nasty damage phases in between your Heals.
- Pick 1 Support:
- DokiDoki - A rare Purify that acts before the Animuses take their turn to cancel Petrify, brings massive Turn Meter generation, CD Reduction, and scaling buffs of SPD and Damage. Doki shines in long encounters.
- Pick 1 Sustain:
- Fuqiu - [SPD+], Shields, Turn Meter generation and Healing, Fuqiu enables the slow setup by giving the team all the time it needs to scale and perform their roles.
